I bought a different game. WHen app sent the email receipt, they had a list of games requested on the right side (like always). And your game was on the list Icon and all. Was cool to see it. Thought to myself.. I've always wanted to try out the game, so bought it.

I noticed that Rotstik is already on the leaderboards for today. He certainly wastes no time!
As I mentioned before, the game had sold around 2.5k units - but because GameCentre came a bit late to it, it only had about 350 players on it yesterday.
Today, as of time of writing, it has nearly 550 - so by the end of the day, the game might have the kind of online competition it wanted at the start!
You get hourly updates. Though I warn you, it's a real rollercoaster ride and bloody addictive... you watch it go up... and up... then down... then up.. then down...
And it always goes 'down' just as you're going to go to sleep - so you have to stay up ANOTHER hour in the hope it might go up
I think it's 2 Euros a month for each game - or something trivial like that!
As predicted, Rotstik grabbed himself a copy of Air Supply.
Here's his review:
"Blazing fast, buttery smooth, and fantastically addictive; this gem should be in every endless runner fans' games library. The art style combines a 1950's aesthetic with 8-bit sensibilities for a unique look that is truly appealing. The framerate is fast and hitch-free with no latency in jumping or firing. Large air enemies are threatening enough to inspire anxiety when trying to take one down and navigate at the same time. I'd love to see the addition of a spread shot pickup for tackling ground and air enemies simultaneously, though. The tunes are quite good, although the default music volume is zero. I initially assumed I had to unlock my first song until I went back to select a new one. Sounds are appropriately bleep-bloopy and meld nicely with the other elements. The thing that keeps you coming back are the numerous unlocks. Multiple characters, backgrounds, music tracks, and color schemes are meted out by way of varied achievements. They may not change the fundamental gameplay, but the rewards are desirable enough to keep the game fresh and compelling. If you enjoy polished and challenging endless runner titles with tons of rewarding unlockable content, Air Supply is a must-buy."
I'm still not entirely sure what to think of it all...
@QS... so who is this Rotstik guy? A google search of his name basically shows a bunch of gamesalad posts of how the guy is a dick of a reviewer. I noticed on the Lite version of my game he left a review, and basically flamed the hell out of it.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the support for Air Supply.
It was downloaded 9,000 times yesterday, which is just incredible (for me)! So thanks everyone!
The game now has an additional 2,000 players on the GameCentre leaderboards - I'm very happy with that!
The game was in the top 100 in multiple countries, top 25 in some, and it felt like launch day all over again!
Also, I got possibly the greatest review ever on iTunes in the US:
2 STARS: Crazy hard right from the start. Did not hear one single song from Air Supply while playing this game.
How AWESOME is that?

But I guess he liked your game so that's good.
He's just a guy that trawled the forums, pickup up promo codes or downloaded free games, and then 'reviewed' them.
Usually incredibly harshly.
The thing is I know where he's coming from. In some cases I agree with what he's saying. But he just came across as cowardly and mean, and I don't like that.

After going free for a day, paid sales actually went up the next.
The game was making between $3-10 a day recently - especially after falling off practically every 'featured' list on itunes.
Yesterday the sales spiked up to $40 for the day.
I'm hoping it's word of mouth!
Cheers,

Just a quickie to say how Damned addictive this Game is! Still playing it every now and then, when I get a minute or 2.
I like old school graphics and deffo LOVE the music - bring back the 80's... (but not the hair cuts - they were just daft).
Nice one QS !
For everyone who's not experienced the simplicity and brilliance of this game, check out the movie!
You can play the game for free, of course, here:
http://gamesalad.com/game/27640
It's had nearly 23,000 plays, but that hasn't translated to sales
Cheers!
