thanks everyone. i had no idea people would respond this way. I wasn't sure it was good enough, I've been tweaking the game since february to make it 'perfect'
This past weekend I finished integrating game center into some of my old games: F is for Falling, Z is for Zombie, obliteration hd, zombie heads and zombie heads hd. As soon as this game is released, I will be making them free with a link inside that brings them to the app store to buy the game. I'm hoping that brings some added awareness of it.
I also spent more time fixed bugs, polishing it up and working on the icon design. I still need to figure out a good description and some good keywords, and test the Mac app version so I can submit them together. I'm hoping to submit the game this weekend.
This is really my kind of game. Slow, nice music, puzzles, sober, somber. That is why I like Machinarium so much. It shows some real skills. Very good job!
Good luck on the last work. I'm looking forward to meeting the spaceman in the app store!
The mac version of A Long Way Home went into review late friday afternoon, I'm hoping the iPad version goes into review soon as well. I have both set to release this thursday, and I'd love for them to launch on the same day.
I'm also happy to say that I finally got all 5 of my game center'd games updated and on the app store. These are part of my marketing plan, the moment these show up in the app store, these games will be set to free. They all have a link to A Long Way Home right on the menu page, so that should help drive some traffic to the game.
Woah, A Long Way Home was just approved for the iPad, the Mac version is still in review. I'm resisting temptation to put it on sale tomorrow, I want to try and have both of them launch this thursday.

So any prospects on promo codes for Beta Testers?
yes, all beta testers will get codes for both the iPad and mac versions. ill be sending them out tomorrow
well i fudged the mac release, it was rejected for a bug (having the word touch instead of click), and using bad apis (saying it uses the accelerometer in the description).
so, be careful you edit your description when copying and pasting! The 'bug' is my fault, i had 2 sets of artwork, but i must have forgotten to update it.
Everyone who helped me beta test this game, check your email, I just sent out a few promo codes. You can redeem them now and be one of the first people on game center before thursday's release!
once the mac version finally get's approved, I'll send along a code for that as well.
