Be careful Disney guards their trademarks well be sure you don't violate any as Apple and Disney have a very close relationship as the job's family is the largest Disney shareholder.

Looking good, but I wanna let you know that you might be wasting your time and effort. If you were to release it on apple App Store they would require you to provide written permission from Disney. Not sure if the amazon store is the same but might be something to check into before you keep going.

It's weird how you think you will get away with copyright infringement. You are wasting your time creating this. You have even used the Walt Disney signature which is copyright just like the Coca Cola logo (for example).

ok, I will cite my sources in the Game Credits Page and the Game Description for all of the Disney material.

trademark issues aside, spend some time on designing the user interface. You need to ensure the entire interface looks polished and not a rush job.

    Some things I noticed:

backgrounds are skewed to fill up the entire screen
question boxes and answer boxes don't line up
text in answer boxes are in different locations (top, middle)
    answer boxes are different sizes

these type of question apps can be very popular, but you need to make your app look as polished as possible. The last 10% of work takes 90% of your time.

I know you are new to this stuff so check out some books on user interface design

ok, thank you for the feedback so far, I will do those revisions once I finish coding all of the levels for the game.

Why? You are still using copyright material.

You could make a game like this based on material that has gone out of copyright through age. The book, Alice in Wonderland for example. (NOT the movies! especially the Disney one lol)

I heard from a source on the internet that Disney only cares about money, and i am releasing this game for free. I did my research on the copyright and I haven't found anything about Disney copyright on any app store(Amazon, Google, and Apple).

See that little c with a circle around it next to Disney. That means copyright is Disney. That's was just taken from where's my water 2. If they have copyright on that game. I gurentee they have them on all there games. We're all trying to warn you not to mess with Disney. Please listen.

Yes Disney is about money. But guess what you just came out with a game for free with there name all over it. Free or paid it doesn't matter they will come after you for money. Last week I contacted marvel about using some of there stuff, just in the background like a Easter egg and their response was no we make our own games. Guess who owns most of marvel.......yep Disney.

You've previously mentioned that you will be scattering the game with ads, so free or not you intend to make money from it.

Someone here created a 4 picture quiz game (or whatever they're called), not too long ago, and they said they used images that were released by the film companies for people to use in press articles, blogs and whatnot. I can't remember what the dev called those images but Disney may have the same. Maybe search the forum for a recent quiz game released and see what they called the images so that you can find the same type of images from Disney

The term is called junket images apparently. By the sounds of it it's still a bit of a grey area so you might not always be able to use them in a game.

Here's the post I was referring too

That should give you one path to research before releasing your game

I have been doing research on copyright, and I found a Disney trivia game called Tidbit Trivia: Disney Edition on the Apple App Store, and he/she was doing the same amount of questions that I am and the app didn't get taken down by Disney.

They might also, have permission from Disney.

But look I think enough people have warned you. So if something comes from your game you can't say no one warned me before hand. Best of luck to you

@Gamelover456 The questions aren't really the problem, it's the images your using.

From the previews of Tidbit Trivia on the app store, the developer does not appear to have included any actual Disney trademarks or copyright material (like the Disney logo). Your app, on the other hand, appears to contain copyright images from one of the most recognizable brands in the world. Even if your app somehow passes the review stage for any of the app stores/marketplaces, it will get taken down eventually by Disney. Then, if Disney thinks your app has in any way damaged their brand / made any money off their copyrights / or their lawyers simply enjoy litigation like it is Splash Mountain® - then you will be sued.

ok, thanks for the feedback. I will try to change the images that are in the background.

Yeah, It's hard to slip in here these days. I keep up with the updates and stuff, but I just don't have time to really check out the rest.

On the topic of Trademarks and Copyrights, take your time, be cool and check your six.

Microsoft is going to be just as protective as Disney. You'll either need to buy some stock graphics or create your own to be safe.

I'm sure it's been mentioned here but you might really want to take a day off from development and research copyright laws.

Why are we still talking about this? Some just don't get it or don't want to. Reality will hit like a brick wall at $200 an hour.
