Quick heads up regarding caf files. They are a container format so can make use of various compression types. GS appears to import without messing with the format and assigns as sound or music depending on compression used.
Do you plan to use the Display text attribute for in-game conversations in the final game? I'm currently deciding whether or not to do it as the text appears pretty blurry on my device.

Beefy I believe about a month more .. but i can't tell for sure mate also i need 'writable tables' for the market place ! so i can't make any progress on that until they provide it.

Yes , i have a table with all the text conversation in it and an actor with display text behavior that displays the text according to the Row number . there is no other way to do it , i can't possibly use png images cause there is way too much text and using images will exceed the RAM limit.
About the blur , it is a problem and it bugs me (and the rest of us) for a long time now , i believe they fix all those "Little" issues once they finish their new engine .. Lets hope its not a fool's hope

It's been a while since I popped in here to take a look and might I say this is coming along! Excellent stuff, Roy. I can't wait till this is out, looks amazing.
@All Update: So finally finally i finished level 10 (The Swamps-Part2) !! it took much more time than expected I can now carry on to the last stage of the story , the Dark Lord's Castle , this is probably the only part in the game that i don't have any sketches or ideas about how its gonna look like , so I'm gonna have to gain some inspiration from somewhere , probably googeling RPG games and castle environments will do the trick, oh well.. we will see. Anyway , I'm excited to be near finishing the story , overall so far it came out very unique , challenging and interesting , Who knows , maybe one day a director will make a Blockbuster movie out of it Can't wait to give the beta testers a spin to hear what they think, I'm sure lots of new ideas will come and many changes will be made , but no rush the drop of LUA is not here yet , so i have time
And of course , another Peek to the game : This is the Boss form the swamps area, and this might be the final boss in the game (not including the final battle) , but I'm not sure yet , like i said , i still have no idea what I'm gonna do in the Dark Lord's Castle ..
@Tynan .caf files will be uncompressed so will play immediately but the tradeoff is bigger in file size. Not a problem though if you have room or will break the 20mb size regardless.

As i believe, GS will not alter .caf files so .. yes and yes. Uncompressed doesn't need to be decoded so is good for speed but will be a lot bigger and take more device RAM as its not compressed, so its a tradeoff, depending on audio length etc, and the rest of your game as to what version would be better suited for your game.

. . . but you can still do stuff like make stereo files mono and lower the sampling rate - as neither involve compression. So uncompressed need not always mean huge files, you can generate very small uncompressed files that don't take up much memory, load quickly and put little strain on the processor during game play as they need no decoding.

So iv'e been very busy lately , not on my project unfortunately so i haven't made a significant progress on the last level (The Dark Lords Castle) some of you might noticed Ive been less on the forums also , so sorry , busy times , but soon ill be back in full time ! you won't get rid of me that fast lol So.. i got my inspiration and i know what I'm about to do in the castle level , first , the level will be split into 2 , so for those of you who gonna play this game , you just got an extra level haha . I started to work on the first part , but like i said , progress very slow at the moment cause i have less time working on it .. Today ill give you a Peek to the 'cut scene' for the castle level , currently there are 3 cut scenes in the project , i think they add lots of value to the general atmosphere of the game.. what do you think ?!
Looking good Roy, its a huge shame about the text.. that would irritate me seriously...GS guys you need to work on this, these are things that should already be working fine!
Hey all ! Haven't updated the thread in a while.. i figured ill give you another peek ! As you've seen in the previous video the heroes came in to the Dark Lord's castle and had to split up , giving you the result of an extra level ! So in the past 2 weeks i managed to finish level 11 (the dark lords castle-part 1) where you play Baldric to search for the missing piece of the door's lock.. And I'm near finishing level 12 (the dark lords castle-part 2) where you play as Prince Edwin the get the other part.. just a few more tweaks left and this level is done. In the game once you finish those levels , you can then unlock the door and enter it for the final epic battle against the dark lord. Now, i have a crazy crazy crazy plan for the final battle, i just hope GS will handle it cause if its gonna work as expected , it will be something thats never been done or seen in a GS game.. Hey, I have no idea , I've never even seen star wars , The name Princess Leila , came from the nick name i call my girlfriend , "Lili" , So this one time we talked about the project and the initial idea was to call her princess Lili , but then we decided to make it a bit more fit to the time era of the game , princess Leila was what we though of eventually . I see no reason to change it cause i don't think the name "princess Leila" is copyrighted or something ..
I was loving the Pricess Leila name because my daughter is called Layla... Until you said you've not seen Star Wars - Now i officially disown you, you are dead to me
The game looks crap (my Star Wars resentment is still shining through as it looks fantastic matey)

Great looking game play... excited to see it when it's released. So many grammar mistakes, though. It weakens the effect of your storyline to see them. Care to have someone check your text for you? I'd be happy to help out. For example, "You have no idea what powers you messing up with" should be "You have no idea what powers you are messing with."

I have another peek for you guys , this is from a whole NEW UNPLANNED level - "The Lava lands" i decided to add this level cause it was necessary for the story line , the heroes needs to reach to the "Flame Of The Phoenix" , and initially it was placed at the end of the "swamps levels" , but i thought its a bit odd to place that object there , so i created a whole new level for that , that means another extra level that was unplanned- the first one was "the castle of the dark lord-part 2" (this project is getting massively big !!!) In this peek you can also see the HUD in the game as it is now , i like it , its clean and undisturbing (is undisturbing even a real word?) also made final changes to the "text conversations background" .. Still, lots of work left to be done , but getting closer to finish
