HoneyTribeStudios said: Nice in-game music Feels very Amiga - (that's a good thing for me!)
Cheers!
It's actually.... a ZX Spectrum - but using nine channels off one machine, instead of the usual three - a real technical marvel! :P
But there's a real mix - a couple more Spectrum tracks, and a few on either an Amiga, an Atari 520 ST or both
Above all, it's cheerful - which was the point
I'm waiting for Apple to Approve the iPhone version at the mo'. If it goes through ok today, the game will be out tomorrow. But realistically it's looking like Thursday at the moment!
The music is fantastic! At first I didn't think it meshed with the game, but after a couple of rounds, I really enjoyed it, and couldn't picture the game with any other soundtrack!

Thanks!

I remember that - you told me you didn't think the music fit at all - then a while later absolutely loved it (which was a HUGE relief!).

Thank you! The iPhone version has gone into review! Yay!
Hopefully, if all goes well, it'll be released tomorrow on iPhone and iPad.

Thanks Jill. This was originally and always slated for a 'Summer' release (originally last year, then again this year!). It just seemed to make more sense.
Having said that, the general feeling I've found is that it makes people smile. And perhaps that's more powerful a feeling when it's cold and dark outside!
We'll see!
LeonardDeveloper said: Looks epic! Is that tsb's menu template? Can't wait to buy!
Thanks!
Yes, it is TSB's 'cut the rope' template. I just saw his video, and thought 'Hmmm... the sun would look pretty cute looking out from inside that circle!'.
I hope it adds an element of interaction and fun to just selecting what world you want to play!

Thank you sir! Always appreciate your thoughts on stuff! Ta!

The game is 'In review' now - I've been informed by another dev that it *should* go through around 2am my time if there aren't any problems!
Fingers crossed! There may be Sunshine on Thursday!

I'm guessing the menu music is the spectrum and the first level shown is the Amiga? C64 and Amiga had the best audio chips.
Did you go to the Euro Gamer Expo? They had a section with just about every computer/console you could think of with games running on them. And some classic arcades too. It was great, so nice to see the actual hardware.
By the way if you haven't tried it you might wanna check out plogue chipsounds. It's a really good 8 bit sound emulator. I only got it for the c64 sounds (which are really good) but atari, nes etc - they're all covered.

That's a great thingy right there! I've been using LSDJ to make music on a GameBoy, but I do love the sounds of other machines too! Thanks!

BTW - the global forecast for tomorrow, you'll be glad to know, is SUNSHINE EVERYWHERE
The iPhone version is 'Ready for Sale', so that, and the iPad one, should be out tomorrow!
YAY!
Thanks to everyone for their kind words and support! I've got a long night ahead of me (and thankfully enough tea to keep a rhino awake) but I always get a buzz out of releasing a new game!
So. Addictive.
The only downer, really, is that the file size is over 20MB
