Just a few more days left of the first ever VS7! When your game is done, just post a video here and include a few screenshots. That's it! May the best developer win
Okay, so this is my game for the VS7 competition. I will be quite busy in the following days so I might not be able to submit on time, so I thought I submit my game now.
So the theme is out of this world. I thought about any possible gameplay for a while and then this idea just came to my mind. I started working on my game on Saturday, made the basic gameplay which is the tap to drop bombs and it turned out pretty good. So basically, the bomb will appear anywhere you tap the screen on, and then after about 1 second, it will explode, killing any aliens and humans in contact with it. If you kill an alien, you earn points, however if you kill a human, you lose points. In the game, a UFO had captured all the humans on earth and they are all transported to an unknown planet. So the idea of the game is to transport all the humans back to earth by throwing them back to earth in the game. Besides the humans, aliens are also invading the earth, so besides saving the humans, you must also prevent the aliens from reaching earth. Basically, the aliens will land on the ground and stay for 10 seconds, before they start to fly towards earth.
The video is kinda laggy due to the screen capturing program. The game is better played on an iOS device than on the computer. It’s hard to ‘throw’ the humans and aliens using the mouse.
I made all the graphics on my own, so it may not look good. For the buttons, I followed Tshirtbooth’s adobe illustrator tutorial. Since I need some menu buttons for my other game, I thought I made some nice looking buttons now.

PS: Hey I don't know what's wrong but I couldn't sign in to the gamesalad forum, so I cannot post this. I can however sign in on the rest of the gamesalad pages. Don't know if it's something wrong with my account or the forum. Contacted the gamesald support. @VentoraStudios said he wanted all entries to be posted so i created another account to post this. yeah!
looking good @dimensionscope2....and with 2+ days to spare!! great work!
I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! This has been the most fun I have had since discovering the awesomeness that is gamesalad....are other folks enjoying their development process as well?
...Once more, for the record...thanks VS for hosting this contest! I've only slept about 16 hours in the last 4 1/2 days, but all for good reason....
This is the story of Astro the astronaut who need to explore a planet and get back to earth.
To play push crates onto colored buttons to destroy the blocks of the button's color.
Information:
• Astro will push the title to the center of the page when you start • the play button will go up when you start • fluid menu with 2 pages that snaps to center • 20 levels • clouds move in the BG • the BG works with real time : it will change to night after 9 pm and change back to day at 6 am • super physics puzzle game for all ages • I made all the art • the player will blink at you every 5 seconds when he is not moving • If you stop playing the player will tell you to continue playing • crates will always have random images

And the BG changes when it is night. (it works with real time!)
Here is Ninjasamuari's and my game. We called it Mr. Spacaman, even though there really isn't a spaceman (need to get that out there before you all get confused). The game revolves around the concept of the gravitational pull of different planets.
The game includes: -Planets with different sizes -3 different Galaxies with varied structures (we can barely get passed Galaxy 2) -Progressive acceleration -Full menu system including tutorial, options and pause -Option menu allows volume control
Here my entry: You are on CERN making researches. Using a particle accelerator in a stormy night. what can go wrong? Play BOSON EXPERIMENT and find the answers! (this event happens in the beginning of Out of This World game)
Ok, it's time for Spaceman Steve! Spaceman Steve is an arena style game where the goal is to try and get as many coins as possible without dying. Each time you start up Spaceman Steve will give a little saying. It features portals to get around plus your basic movement. Everything is in a classic 8 bit style including all music and sound effects.
(there is no sound in the video because I really don't have any capture software, I was using the built in capture that is in quicktime so the quality isn't great either)
You were the last of the great treasure hunters, and upon finishing the great job, you find--the Space Key. Something that allows you to manipulate space...something mystical. You yourself quite don't understand how to use it, but you're getting better!
But the F.E.D.s want it too. They'll do anything for it. So what do they do? They mess up your past. 'Cuz they've got--the Time Key.
You end up in the void: a timeless space. And your great quest to restore your past begins.
The Multi-Dimensional Hacker is an adventure/puzzle game with an overlapping theme throughout the game. The video shows all...

Whew! Lot to say there...Good luck to others too!

That looks nice! But did you mean to post the video?
Better edit it, if you did!
Meanwhile, I'm getting my submission ready! Good Luck!
