Publishing problem - advice needed

Hello everyone!
Sometime ago I tried to publish my big project (above 300 MB). I started to publish my game, and after Uploading app, I get a Receiving app window, but exactly after two-three seconds it changes to "Signing app package". Then I've got an error: "The file couldn't be opened because it isn't in the correct format. The file might be corrupted, truncated, or in an unexpected format."
I wrote to GS, they said, to send them my project, I've sent it, and after some tests they said that they have no problems, and that they can publish it.
They said that I can have some problems with my computer.
I formated my entire disk, installed Lion, then Xcode, GS, and all profiles. Then I tried to publish - I have the same error.

Do you have any other ideas?

I tried to made new profiles, I tried to publish with different GS versions, and from different saved projects.

Thank you very much!

    I just thought about something - do you think that turning on Armv7, or changing minimum iOS version can fix this issue?

    This happened to me. The problem was that my GS profile hadn't loaded properly. When you go to publish, are all of your apps showing up first?

    Thank you Mike, but I can see my apps everytime I try to publish.

    try setting it up as a new game instead of updating something in your profile? That's worked for me before with my large game

    I tried those thing:
    1. Publish as an update.
    2. Publish as a new game.
    3. Publish with GS 0.9.82.
    4. Publish with every newer GS version.
    5. Publish with different profiles.
    6. Publish with higher iOS version required.
    7. Publish with Glossy Icon.
    8. Publish without Glossy Icon.
    9. Publish with ARMv7 on.
    10. Publish with ARMv7 off.
    11. Save as a new, different file, and try to publish the new file.
    12. I even made a clean Mac OS install, and then try to publish.

    I'm trying to publish almost everyday since the release of GS 0.9.85. It's about 1.5 month. GS team wrote that they managed to publish my game without any troubles.
    I can publish other, smaller games with my settings.

    Are you connect by wireless or hardwire. Did you try a hard wired connection?
  • IsabelleKIsabelleK Member, Sous Chef Posts: 2,807
    I'm on Wi-Fi, but I managed to publish such big game on 8th of November, and one week later I was unable to do it again. And I have the same Internet connection as before.

    Try publishing on a different mac maybe....
  • IsabelleKIsabelleK Member, Sous Chef Posts: 2,807
    @Leonard, do you think that there will be any difference if I formated my entire disk, and made a clean Mac OS installation? I think that hardware have nothing to do with GS publishing, and I don't have ny software that could disturb publishing.

    Hi i had the same text "The file couldn't be opened because it isn't in the correct format. The file might be corrupted, truncated, or in an unexpected format."

    TRY to change a name of file ,then open and press save,its always working in my case

    Thanks alek, I'll try this later :)

    @alek, I tried your way - it didn't help :(

    I know you should be able to use wifi but I never saw you say you have actually tried a hard wired connection. Like I said I know it should not matter but you might as well try it. Also if you can access a differet Mac it could very well be a hardware issue where something in yours has failed just to the exetent to cause you problems. I cannot image how frustrating it is to not be able to publish. Even more frustrating is trying all these issues I can imagine. Hope you get it worked out.

    I purchased new, high-end router. I tried over Wi-Fi, and over hard wired connection. I also tried with different internet provider, and the only different Mac I know in my city. Nothing helped - I still have the same error message. I'm desperate now.

    Hi alek,
    I'm using both 0.9.82 and the new one :(
  • LeonardDeveloperLeonardDeveloper Member Posts: 4,630
    Maybe get someone trusted to publish it for you if it comes to the worst?
  • IsabelleKIsabelleK Member, Sous Chef Posts: 2,807
    @Leonard,
    If all other ways fail, I'll think about it. I wrote to GS team few hours ago, maybe they will figure something out.

    You've most likely tried this, but how about saving the file as a different name and new file and republishing?
  • IsabelleKIsabelleK Member, Sous Chef Posts: 2,807
    Thanks for your answer, but I tried it few times :)

    @themoonwalls
    I can't possibly think of an answer.....
    Can you post your mac specs?
    Just one small question....... You don't happen to be polish are you? I can speak polish! :)

    Btw, is it just this project you can't publish, or you can't publish any projects at all? I know you're supposed to be able to publish any size with GS, but what if you cut this down a bit maybe 10mb just for a test publish
  • IsabelleKIsabelleK Member, Sous Chef Posts: 2,807
    I can publish anything smaller.

    I have MacBook Pro 15" Early 2011 with Lion. I published my all games with this computer.

    @Leonard, jestem z Polski :) a Ty?

    jestem w irlandii, ale i nauczył się języka polskiego .... Polska to bardzo piękny kraj!, w każdym razie z powrotem do problemu .... nie mogę wydawać się, aby zobaczyć problem. plik .... próbowałeś publikacji mniejszy plik z komputera? na co GS budować zrobiłeś tego?
    -----
    To all those English speakers, I just said in polish that I was Irish and am fluent in polish.... And helped @themoonwalls with his publishing problem ;)
    Yours sincerely,

    Nieźle mówisz po polsku :) Let's write in english, so if other people have simillar issue, they will understand it.
    With this computer and those settings I published The Train episode 02 in 2.0 version. It was as big as my current game. I published it 08.11.2011 with GS 0.9.82. One week later I wanted to publish my new game, but GS published 0.9.85 version, and after this I'm unable to publish any bigger app (even The Train episode 02 in 2.0 version, which I published one week before).

    Well it seems logical to me, if you fiddle with this current project, take out some images without modifying any code, to cut the size down slightly and if you can publish, it must be the size of the app.
  • LeonardDeveloperLeonardDeveloper Member Posts: 4,630

    dziękuję! :)
    --------______________
    In English:
    have you tried downloading previous versions of gs and publishing with them?
  • IsabelleKIsabelleK Member, Sous Chef Posts: 2,807
    @Chobbiface - yes, if I delete images I can publish it.

    BUT

    I've sent my project to GS team, and they said that they can publish it without making any changes.

    Hmm, that all seems a bit fishy to me:

    1) You can publish smaller files
    2) You can publish the same file with images deleted, thus smaller file.

    I would check with GS again. I guess the other remaining thing would be as Leonard says, to send the project to a trusted person and see if they can publish it to test

    @themoonwalls
    Maybe ask GS to publish it for you, send you the file and Ghent you can upload it?
