Dear SSS, I have never, or do I going forward, ever intend to reverse engineer anything. As regards to my statements, I was simply making a point as to my position on being able to publish out in Xcode. I covet my reputation and I wish you had made that a general statement to all and not directed at me specifically. I don't wish to have my good name even quasi tarnished by suggesting those could possibly be my intentions, which they are not. This makes me very uncomfortable now in the forum environment as others may not be as savvy as you and I are in understanding the intent we both meant. Thank you, David F. Souza
Thank you all for your support and advices ImageAlpha is great, it saved me more than 60% size of some images, too bad that I have to change all 900 images by hand - it would be much nicer if it has option to change multiple files (like ImageOptim).
@SaladStraightShooter, could you consider to add a feature for Pro, to be possible to publish games up to 500 MB?
I have one more question for more "technical people". GS has some time limit to publish, right? So, if I use much faster Internet connection, to publish my game, is there any chance (and if this is possible) that I'll fit in this "publish time", and be able to publish my 300 MB game?
I've done some tests (I tried to publish two versions of my other game): GameProject files: 1. 140 MB 2. 160 MB In GS versions from 0.9.82 to the newest one. Each project was copied, and save in the right GS version. I tried to publish each project three times in every GS version.
It is impossible to publish 160 MB project in any GS version. Each try brings an error message, that the file is corrupted or in wrong format. It is possible to publish 140 MB project in every GS version. Each try was successful.
gs can we publish the game ourselves? I mean we don't need to the server for this(the only reason I can think of is because somebody will try to use pro features when they don't pay)
@SaladStraightShooter, thank you for your reply! I like you, because you are always near to answer our questions Yes, I wrote a huge (2 pages) mail to GS support, about this issue. I'm sure that internet connection is not my problem - I used to have 1024 kbps, and I was able to publish bigger games. Now I have 6144 kbps. As I said, sometimes I had "time out" or "GS server is experiencing some problems" during publishing. But now I have error that file is corrupted or in wrong format, everytime if the project is bigger than 150 MB. I tested it, you can see results in my previous post in this topic.
I won't be able to compress my images so much, that the entire game is under 150 MB, because just a Scene folder is 60 MB, and sounds are 35. It gives me 95 MB, so there's 55 MB left for images. It's impossible to compress 900 images (270 MB) to fit this limit. So, you (GS team) are my only hope, to publish this games (iPhone and iPad version). Otherwise, half year of my hard work will be nothing.
