Is anyone else trying to publish getting server issues. When I try it uploads for a while then gives me a message saying that there is a server error. I was just wondering if I was the only one?

Cheers

My app is quite large. The QA guys are currently taking a look. Hopefully they can help. It was uploading fine yesterday.

    Thanks giacomopoppi

I have just sent another email to GS about this. Hopefully they can get it sorted soon. I've not been able to publish and test my game all week. First I had the publishing validation error and now I get the server error. I'm sure they'll be able to fix it soon. *fingers crossed*

@Trapper74 170MB? you sure? GS supports a maximum of 150MB I think... How on earth did you get a game so big? It must have a lot of graphics!

@NesesitaGames wow, that is a big game too!

Have you guys tried reducing the game's size?

Mine is around 100mb. I could reduce it a bit but not by a significant amount. It's a picture book so I need the images to look as clear as possible.

@LBG have you tried using punypng?
    http://punypng.com/

It reduces the image size without loosing qulity. Try it, it is really good! ;)

    I'll take a look thanks.

Does each user have a limited amount of space on the GS servers? As I have had trouble uploading my game I have been creating new games each time to rule out any corrupt file issues. I have about 10-15 files on there now each at around 100mb. I can't see any way of deleting old projects from the servers.

Nope, no limits. If you have projects you don't need anymore, replace them with a blank scene so that at least GS save space on thir servers :P For now the deleting of the projects is not possible, however you can replace them.

yeah my project is big cos of some animated backgrounds i have that i havent decided weather to use or not (i want to test them first) as far as i understood a game can be any any size for a device as long as its not a web game...... is anyone else actually having a problem with the server or is it just us with big projects?

I have tried several times today and even submitted a build with just a single scene and a single actor and even that didn't work.

I really need to publish my game to test. This is getting really silly. I have been told the QA team are looking into it but I haven't heard any updates for 24 hrs. Anyone else know anything?

    Thanks

I am having an issue too..... I am honestly still confused as to why there is a need to publish our apps over a server? Why on earth don't they build that into the creator? It seems so unnecessary.

Love to hear the head chefs take on that...

I think we would all appreciate an update.... Some of us have been with gamesalad a long time and have made businesses around your software. You have created a tool that people depend on and we are totally in the dark about this server issue. Please.

I really don't get why people are having issues with this, other than the (very!) large size of your projects!

I uploaded a 9MB project yesterday and it all worked fine first time. Took literally about 5 minutes in total.

I think there's obviously a problem uploading *large* files, but 'normal' ones seem to be fine!

    Hope that reassures *some* people!

I have tried to upload a project with one scene and one actor and that had the same issue. There is definitely something wrong with the server.....

We really need some feedback as to what the issue is and how long a fix will take.
