@Beefy_clyro: We have some performance issues with Nightmare Escape. We hoped that GS 0.9 will improve the loading times but we don't see any difference.
Currently on the 3GS it takes ~ 20 seconds to load a level and we don't even have sound After the level is loaded the FPS is pretty solid so no complaint there. I assume the problem is that we use tons of images for the animation and weapon effects. If only GS would allow in game mirroring of the actors... that would save half of the images and that's huge. Just think that right now for every actor and animation we have to render 2 image sequences, one when the actor is facing left and one when right.
I care a great deal for that game as I put countless sleepless nights working and I would hate having to abandon the production. It's really a cool looking game. So right now I want to do some testing on an iPhone4 and if the loading times are a lot better (10 seconds max) we will make it only for iPhone4. If the loading times are about the same maybe I'll scrap half of the weapons and half of the animations and released like that or I will sell the artwork with exclusivity so someone with another engine can continue. The last option would really make me sad and I still hope that maybe GS will add in game actor mirror
It goes like this:
12 November - App submitted to Apple and entered Waiting For Review
19 November - App entered in Review
20 November - Rejected by Apple - app faild to load on iPhone4 with iOS 4.2.1 - Very weird as we tested successfully the app on the iPhone4
23 November - We rebuild the app with GS 0.9 and resubmitted - Waiting Fore Review
03 December - App entered in Review
06 December - Status changed to Processing for review
06 December - After 3 painful waiting hours the app was Ready for Sale
Shameless bump and the touch arcade forum just in case someone want's to give a hand to spread the word out.
Appreciated!

We are already working on an update that it will add more content (3 winter themed levels) but also improve the gameplay by better balancing the difficulty levels, mainly making the easy mode much harder, closer to the medium one. The update should be submitted to apple at the beginning of next week.
I'll post a screenshot from one of the backgrounds later today. I am really proud of how the winter theme is coming along.
Again, thanks everyone!
I won't start a new thread for the updates as I'm planning to do a lot of those So I'll post any update related new in this thread.
Btw, I just saw that I posted in the wrong forum so I would like to ask a mod to move it under announce you game. Thanks
Back to the update.
We are planning to release an update this Monday. Initially it had 3 new animated backgrounds but now we want to work harder and push the number of new backgrounds to 6.
Three of them will have the Winter Theme and the other 3 will be a tribute to Tron. It's a lot to work for 5 days and I hope I'll be able to finish in time. I guess is too late anyway for a Christmas release but Winter continues after 25 as well :P
Also in this update we are going to make the easy level closer in difficulty to the medium one.
Enough talk for now, here is one of the Winter Themed Backgrounds:

Let me know what do you think,

Thank you all for your support - we plan great things for this game!
We hope to be an ever-evolving game using updates, frequently releasing new landscapes and new gameplay modes.
After receiving a lot of valuable feedback we decided to add more variation to the game-play in the next update and not in the second one.
Beside what we already mentioned we are going to add:
- UFO! What's a game with sheep without an UFO? The UFO will do what knows best - kidnap the sheep.
- Ram! (not the memory :P ). The ram will run slower than the sheep but you will need to tap several times to make it turn.
Regarding the content addition, we have a new landscape to show:

What software did you make that in Maya?
No it's not maya, it is softimage
I'm planning to learn maya after I finish with the update for Silly Sheep
How ares your sales ? This game has a good potential !
S.
Will go and buy it right now... (plus leave a review later)
Be great to know how sales are going...
I know a bit of 3d Studio Max (3ds), but yet to put the effort in and make any 3d scenes for a GS game. Mainly due to 3ds being Windows only, and loving my mac too much to be working in windows.
One of the reasons why I'm learning Maya is because it's also available on OS X and unfortunately Softimage XSI isn't. There's also Cinema 4D which is quite easy too use and of course Blender - Free
Anyway, about the sales... well so far the sales are quite modest but we didn't expect to sale much with the first release.
We do have high hopes for the update that's due to come out at the beginning of the next year. The introduction of the UFO and the Ram should add variation to the gameplay and that's the no1 complaint. Also we are going to add 6 new Landscapes and do some touch control improvements (I'll redo the sheep actor completely).
Thanks again for the support,
Adrian
