There was a problem parsing the package

I did a search and nothing relevant turns up in the forum so I'm posting here.


I downloaded and signed the android build. SDK level set to 26.

I uploaded to google Drive and tried to install the signed apk file and then it gave the error message: There was a problem parsing the package.

I have already set the android phone to developer mode, and also turned on the install from unknown sources.

I used to be able to do this years ago.

I just came back to developing on Gamesalad so I'm not aware if there are any new changes that might prevent me from doing this.

Anyone can offer me a solution?

(I'm using a Xiaomi Redmi 9T)

All my games on Google Play
