Hi, I'm Kira, the developer of the game Roll Turtle in 2016, Hey guys, I miss you so much, does anyone remember me?
Many years have passed, it has become an old game, Google Play team asked me to update the app, I now have a problem.
"Users will often switch between several tasks throughout the day, interrupting gameplay in some instances. For games that have a pause-state and aren't reliant on real-world time progression or multiplayer gameplay, the game should be paused when resumed from a minimized or locked state in order to keep users satisfied and engaged."
Someone knows the current gamesalad engine solve this problem or not?
Get a lot of help here, let me publish the game, and come back many years later, I miss you guys!

The game income is 0 now.
My wife goes to work, I'm a stay-at-home dad for children, life is very busy, I have almost no time for game development, But Google Play invites Roll Turtle to cooperate, I have to adjust it.
You’re game is awesome! Sorry but i don’t have the answers you seek. This is what google wants to change in the game?
It's about Google Play Pass, I'm sorry can’t explain the details because of the NDA.
This is a new service, I will share with you guys when the work is completed :)
I remember too^^ In those days, there was a mini blog(still exists) where we interviewed indie game developers.
If anyone is curious, you can check the interview here. https://indiezoom.co/interview-kira-fu-roll-turtle/
Sorry to hear that the game has no income. I would like to see the new games you will make with the experience you gained from Roll Turtle.
Check out my games on the App Store!

I remember you and your game for sure, it is a super impressive game. You did a fantastic job on it. I'm afraid I can't offer any help with your current needs but good luck with it.
As a side note your situation is one of the things that really bugs me about mobile development, you're essentially being forced to update a game that is not making you any money. Due to this type of thing I have long ago removed all my games from the Apple Store.

That's not something we currently support, but we should look into (it currently automatically unpaused on pause).
You can definitely do this if you export it as html and add it to a Cordova package.
I too remember this game, was very professionally made and an envy for many!
As for your question,
If I am reading this correctly, Can I assume your game does not return to the paused state of the game when exited and returned (put into hibernation?) if so, I had this issue and I forced the game to reset when returning from hibernation. But it seems Google are demanding a returned state.
If I am understanding your correctly, In your case, I would save the progress of the game on hibernation and then, reset the game and load the last saved state (which would look just like its unpaused and reloaded the progress).

@gingagaming Hi i've the same issue in the samsung store... they want the same thing but is impossible because the apps go in to the "reset state" when they change app or launch multiscreen anyway the option "App quits on controller back button" etc had not fixed this problem; i've discuss about this this with @adent42 but in this moment we can't do anything to fix it.
here the issue:
App restarts when opening multi window/ folding/ unfolding device
(On Galaxy Tab S6, issue also occurs when opening multi window )
[Procedure]
1. Execute the app > play game and observe screen
2. Open multi window/ fold/ unfold device
3. Observe: game is restart
[Expected Result]
App should remain progress not restart when opening multi window/ folding/unfolding device

My wife goes to work, I'm a stay-at-home dad for children :)
Anyway you can export the game in html5 and wrap it to .exe game and republish it to steam platform to have another earn.

Then another way is have the game dated stored as an "autosave" (whatever data is needed to reload the the game to the saved state whether it would like scene X, position X, score X and on your first scene (before menu) have it detect this and load it instead of going to main menu. This means if there is a saved state of game play it load the game game state rather than main menu when returning. I know its still faking the progress but it will solve that issue!

Is not possible because the app go in reset mode and the app show splash screen and after it go etc...
