Picky advice:
It does seem to be less than obvious what are the enemies and such.
Though I'm watching on a very small screen at the moment
Also, try and add tilt control with accelerometer
I am hoping future updates of gamesalad will allow me to turn it into a shooter. I already have most of the enemies ready to go...
Maybe I should add the controls screen in the video so you can see that it has a tilt option.

So you mean the gs engine couldn't handle all the shots and stuff without slowing down?

Did you try simplifying or deleting the background elements?
Everything takes up gPU power I guess, so prioritizing is in order
I'd really like to do a shooter at some point with LOTS of stuff on the screen,
I hope this is possible!
I also want to make a shooting game & do some work, but maybe wait for next version of GS!
@franzkeller I did try using very lightweight images, and not spawning the enemies etc. but didn't really work out too well. I'm working on something for another project...
