Woohoo finally my game, Break City, is on the app store! I have worked on the game for a couple of months now and is happy with how it turned out.
"Either you fake it or you break it, in Break City!
In this NES inspired 8-bit game you play the character of Maxi Shake, a B Boy who inspires to be the new King of Break City.
With the help of Mr Moneygrip you will break yourself through 5 challenging levels, on your way to the top."

Bought the damn thing with my own money! Love the style and the music - brilliant!
Not got off level 1 (I'm knackered!) but I love the dance moves the guy does.
Nice one!

Give the LITE version of Kraken a go before you buy the full version - you might not like it!
Congrats - I'm really looking forward to seeing more stuff from you!

Looking good on the app store, nice! Better charge that iPhone
@Poly Thanks! I'm hoping it will do well of course, but it's really just a labour of love Loving Max Vector btw!
There was a few break dancing games back in the early 80's for the commodore 64 that me and my friends used to play.
Our favorite was Ghetto Blaster. You had to collect tapes and batteries for your ghetto blaster and shoot everybody with musical notes to make them dance. So much fun!
I will have to see if I can find the ROM...
I'll buy your game tomorrow and give you a review!
Good luck with sales!!!
Did you do the graphics yourself? really authentic looking.

I have a few issues with the D-Pad, though, which I know are tough to get right... I managed to work out how to make one that works extremely well (through a bit of cheating). If you want it, let me know and I'll fire you a demo
*ahem*
Glad to see this getting a good response! I like your font, gr8bit

@poly - Yeah I had some problems with the D-pad. I would love to have a demo so I can implement it in an update. Thanks!
@firemaple - I actually downloaded the rom for C64 game Break Street, when I was working on this game to gain some inspiration. It is really awesome! Haven't heard of Ghetto Blaster though. Have to check it out!
@QS - It's the best font
I bought it thinking it was a break dancing game, but in fact it's a brawler like double dragon.
The gfx and sound are very well done and retro but the controls are horrid.
The virtual gamepad really is hard to control.
I found myself frustrated after 2 plays.
If you used the iphone's tilt and multitouch instead of a virtual gamepad I think you would have a hit.
As it is the poor control detracts so heavily from the game that I can't get into it.
same as html...

Then add a > at the end (had to leave it off to demonstrate without actually inserting an image)
BTW:
Nice job on the game Gr8.
I personally am not an 8-Bit fan (was when I was a kid though)...but it looks like you did a good job on it. Good Luck with the new title. The soundtrack rocks too!
