Is it too late to change my game to resolution independent?

I am two weeks into a project. I didn't click the "Resolution independence" box when
I started out.
Is it too late to make the project resolution independent?

    don’t think it matters what you do until you publish.

    i think there’s a thread somewhere saying you don’t need to use resolution independence anymore as well. maybe one of the gs people can clarify please.

    We pretty much ignore that flag now. All that Resolution Independence did was resize your images on disk so that devices with lower DPI screens could load appropriately smaller images files. Since most mobile devices are now high dpi, we just stopped making those extra images (which took up extra space on disk).

    @adent42 Is it difficult to remove the Resolution Independence checkbox so newbies don't get confused?
