I would like to make a graph for the user to see.
I would also like to be able to allow the user to choose categories of data to include or exclude.
Is this possible? How?

Yes. The above graphs above reflect continually updated data in a table. All done in GS.
Toggling which data/lines to include is possible. As an example, the first image with the three different graphs, is accomplished with the same 2 actors and just such a toggle. Of course, it will be specific to how your table data is structured.

Excellent work there fella..
Thanks @Hopscotch . I am looking to do a line chart.
btw, I am definitely going to be using AppFormative.
I want one line to represent the user. (solid line). Another line (dashed) will represent the summary of all other users' data.
Multiple categories will be represented.
IDEALLY, the user could toggle off-on which categories of data are represented, so that they can do their own comparisons of what is working for/happening with others.
Happy to have you on board!
Mesmerising!

Very nice ! I haven't got a clue how you did the filled areas !?
You should turn the filled areas into a side scrolling shooter, a kind of cave you have to fly through, with the walls always oscillating as in your GIF.
@Hopscotch , very cool gifs, but does that mean "Yes" it can be done in GS?
What about the toggle function?
Thanks @Socks. Pedestrians
If I can include pedestrians.

It's not all about pedestrians you know, sometimes you also need lazers and zombies and flapping and coins.
It's not often I see something and go "How in the holy hell did they do that?" (I presume godlike omniscience for myself) but I definitely say that for the area graph... I'm with @Socks... how on earth did you do that fill area?! Love it!

Yes, intriguing - please @Hopscotch, please show us a few of the cards on your hand!
Thank you @Hopscotch . Now y'all may play, and I can enjoy the banter.
Sorry for hijacking your thread @Synergy
Attached is a project showing the above graph. @Socks, @Armelline, @johnnymagne
It just uses overlapping replicates, the foremost/bottom part in the color of the background to act as mask.

Thank you for sharing the alchemy @Hopscotch !
Genius thinking !
@Hopscotch -- I love it! I will be studying this one for a while!
Excellent @Hopscotch .
I come up with appearance and function ideas that I think I need to communicate effectively, then I try to find out if it is reasonably possible. Fortunately, I will be associating with those that have the skill set.
