not updating with a PC

How can I stop the automatic updating if working with Windows PC?
Can I release a game with an older version of GS?

I have found how to regress to an earlier version of GS but nothing about the two topics above.

I don't use the Windows version of Creator so I'm not sure about the automatic updating. I'll tag @adent42 and see if he can shed some light on this.

As far as releasing with an older version, you should be able to assuming the build isn't ancient.
