collided with teleport

im trying to make a teleportation portal in my game but i am having difficulty. in my player character it is constraining the x and y positions (because it is a side scroller)... i have tried to look in the forum for something but i havent found anything

Can you explain how you've tried to do this and also what constraining the positions has to do with teleporting?

What exactly does a teleportation portal do? You stand on something and appear somewhere else?

Destroy actor and spawn it somewhere else?
Or change alpha to zero and interpolate to new position?

I found this a while back. Its a pritty simple teleportaion. Player touches the actor teleport and appear to the set x y destination. Check it out
