replicate an oscilloscope

Anyone have any ideas how I might go about replicating an oscilloscope.
I've tried having an actor randomly moving up and down and spawning small pixel sized squares every 0 seconds but you still get get gaps in the drawn line.
Any alternative ideas anyone?
Cheers.

What do you mean by 'replicating an oscilloscope' ?
You'll struggle to remove the gaps in the line unless you really use a lot of actors. Perhaps a better approach is to pre-prepare images for all the possible lines and change the image based on the required curves.

@Armelline Thanks, that's a great idea...never thought of that. I could pre-prepare all the various frequency responses I need and have them revealed and travelling right to left under another actor which will act as a mask.
I'll do a test and post it if it looks reasonable.
Cheers
@Armelline This is working pretty well. I have an gradient actor over the top of my curve to replicate the fade off. I'm currently producing lot's of other amplitudes which I will swap out as and when needed.
Thanks for steering me in the right direction...seems obvious now!
Looks nice

perhaps would have been a better choice of word.
Of the perhaps might have of course been.
