Splash screen woes

So, what's the deal with the custom loading images on the publishing page? When I insert the images in with the correct size for each device, the displayed image is stretched horizontally on my iPhone 6 plus and when I add only the image for iPhone 6 plus (1242x2208px) then nothing shows up during the load time. I don't remember this being an issue before. If anyone knows a work-around, I would really appreciate the help. Thanks!

I'm also having issues with custom images for splash screens on Android. I have a universal build (landscape) and the splash screen always appears either the wrong orientation or stretches horribly. I've resorted to having a black screen as it looked so unprofessional
