Gamesalad not downloading

in Tech Support

when i open the .exe this message pops up internetopenurl failed on http://deploy.gamesalad.com/xe.exe HTTP status:403 Try again? what does this mean and how can I fix it Thank you

    I've seen that error when a local proxy blocks the file for whatever reason. That file, in particular, is a decompression library we use to unpack downloaded files. When I originally released that to the public I used another program called "upx" to compress it. Turns out that upx compressed files freak out some antivirus programs.

    Looks like that URL got on someone's naughty list. Are you using bitdefender by any chance?

    I had the same issue. I have Kapersky Antivirus. Thanks to this thread I tried turning it off before installing and it worked fine.

    How do you turn of Kapersky? I've disabled it but it is still happening
