HELP!!! Can't get GameSalad to function correctly!?

Okay so I am trying to create a game that is similar to the original Super Mario games, with my PC Version of GS, but I feel like there are so many bugs. I don't believe it is my computer, because I had the same problem on my brothers computer which is way newer and has better performance hardware than my computer.

Problem 1) A Trail is left behind my character that is unwanted for example:

Problem 2) My collision is not operating correctly. Anytime my Kitty Actor touches my Mouse Actor, the cat is supposed to catch the mouse and the mouse is supposed to be destroyed. But the Destroy function never happens. Yes the destroy function is inside the collision rules "Do" area, so no that can't be the problem.

    Are your rules correctly set up ?

    I believe they are, I followed all the rules of the tutorial to the Tee!

    Wrap the change att and the destroy in a timer set to for .3 with run to completion checked.

    I have the same "unwanted trail" problem. Did you ever find a solution?
