@Lost_Oasis_Games ...Stevej who started this thread isn't listed on the staff page either. So it's looking like another recent round of staff reductions at the GS office.. Which isn't good.
Either that or it's just another case of not updating the website properly... In this case hopefully it is the latter...
Edit... A quick look at LinkedIn seems to confirm BlackCloakGS is no longer at GS which goes some way to explaining the update delay and radio silence. Can't confirm if SteveJ is still around or not.

I don't think steve j was ever on the staff page but I did see black cloaks linkedin too. Okay Steve j is gone too! What the hell!? This can't be good. Time maybe to head for a life boat.
It's really looking like Gamesalad's boat is sinking fast.. Or there's something going which they won't share with their users.. But i must say that if it's true that Alan is gone.. Then it's not good at all for Gamesalad..
Well, I have the beta of 1.25, They have worked on customer fonts but I did not test it yet as it has shuttering issues.. as performance is now my only priority
I love GS and developing on this platform is really easy. I make "simple" apps and the community is awesome. I have played around with Unity and Playmaker and wonder if this is the way to go.
Have to add for my earlier post that, if it's really true that both BlackCloakGS and SteveJ are gone, it's sounds to my ear very alarming. I mean, at least BlackCloakGS was very talented engineer who knew base code of GS very well, so it's must be not so easy to replace him.. I guess same goes with SteveJ too.. And if those guys were one of the best developers in GS team, only reason they would let them go would be disastrous financial situation.. Or am i wrong?
Yeah, this does sound rather worrying.
There was a time a couple of years back where people were worried that GS could go under at any minute but thankfully things have much improved since then... but the loss of two key figures, seemingly stalled software development and lack of communication doesn't bode well!
I hope if things are looking uncertain we will at least be given some sort of heads up so that we can plan our own app updates etc to future-proof them for the short term at least!
Well neither of their linkedin profiles list new positions that they've moved to, which normally means that they haven't left of their own choosing, to move to another job... and both seem to have left GameSalad at around the same time in January.
So yup... looking like forced downsizing... or some serious politics going on at the office that they were on the wrong end of.
Its strange that two of the main engineers who were heavily involved on the upcoming major update have gone at the same time though... so yup... like I said earlier, it seems to be that GS yearly thing again.... although this time its looking really serious
Please, GS - give us some kind of warning if you are going belly up. People's livelihoods are at stake here and please, at least leave us with a steady build that we can keep.

Still waiting 1.25 ... If 1.25 will take really long... is it possible to release 1.24.43 at least just so to fix the bugs (in my case major bug is table cell value).. so that I can release a workable update for my game...
I just select to put my game salad subscription on hold for one month so that I wouldn't be paying subscription for nothing... just sharing incase they are some who are also affected and doing nothing but still paying subscription fee...
I have done the same thing waiting on the table cell value and variable update bugs to be fixed. I cannot keep fighting with the creator trying to make things work when simple conditional statements are broken due to values not updating. I understand there are bugs to be worked out, but crippling bugs like this I feel should be patched long before a major release.
As for the staff reductions.. it could mean a million things but not all of them are bad. It could be growing pains, it could be downsizing, but I dont think its a sign to jump ship. Lets just see what GS says in the coming days and go from there.
Seems a new version of GameSalad was launched at the end of January, and it was touting something called Intercom.io as a major feature? Anyone heard of this? Wonder if this has anything to do with the update delays or the two missing GS engineers?
Nothing weird there @Chunkypixels , it just refers to the help system, like we have here on the forum in the bottom left, also being available in the latest windows version.
@Hopscotch ...so the Intercom.io thing is the help bubble in the bottom corner of the screen, and its been implemented in the latest version of the windows editor?
But what is the reference to the release of the engine on the 26th January? Was there a new build released that I missed? They seemed to be promoting a big release of the engine released on 26th January....

can i pause my subscription? still waiting for my video reward feature
I think the issue is @BlackCloakGS my no longer be with GS. He is not on the team list anymore. If so that is a huge loss

Both, BlackCloakGS and SteveJ show up for me in the GS team page.

Sad to hear the BlackCloakGS news.
Now Graphene would make more and more sense to start fresh.
Did anyone had success so far using an older GS version without stutter?
If yes,which version?
I did create my own custom font, or lets say I used @Armelline epic template.
Work perfectly and easy.
Only want to get rid of the stutter now and launch my new game.

Theese type of discussions tend to get a little bit crazy. We don't know anything for sure until GS actually announces something.
Even I'm willing to concede things look very, very dire.

GS team did not say anything , why all the panic ? .. I hope nothing is wrong but you guys got me worried now
It feels rather like I should have got the monthly deal instead of the yearly

1.25 if it is the final patch
Fine.
Just bring performance back and leave it as it is.

I think I need to stop reading posts on this forum!
