This game so far unfortunately didn't took off at all.
I credit it mainly that its very hard to find in the store I might invest time there in future.
Right now I just add more in-apps to all my traffic gaining apps to get more money per user. With positive result so far specially Human Harvest increased its ARPU x4 (now $0.08) Could be just early adapters from the already existing players must not mean new install would achieve the same result. But still I want all my apps to able to monetise solid.
Else I have to kill em. ( O_O)
@iamcartez
I actually got some older games I killed and I though about selling
but creepy is my new baby and it gets great reviews I think i might just have to cap the levels when it becomes popular and make them pay the in-app to pay full.
Im surprised you haven't done that already, your games are always high quality. That sounds like a good plan, just make sure that the people that already have started playing the game gets an auto unlock key or something... or else they may throw out bad reviews if they load up the game and see that they must pay to finish level 8!
@BigDave Just downloaded Creepy for iOS! Not gonna lie, it is very difficult to find in the App Store I searched "Creepy" and scrolled down forever and never found it...
The only way I could find it in the App Store was to search your name "David Zobrist"
Even though the search was difficult, the game looks awesome!!
@As_Of_Latte
yeah its too bad. I maybe should invest time in proper keyword search for it but I am not experienced too much in it yet. Also I rather spending time on the next game.
I might gonna do some video advertising as I am currently running with orcs.
Not sure why but creepy is growing really well since the last month.
Winning the game salad competition could have had a real impact on spreading to more people or its just time passing and people telling their friends.
This is one of the games I launched and not even bothered much about investing too much time why it didn't start so well, I knew this is a good game also by the feedback collected here and from friends, as well as a personal feeling.
I considered even leaving it if it performs not that well, as it is a good game.
But after 3 months of being live now it grows and has become my second most impression creating game directly after Orcs.
I learned the lesson that some games really just need their time to role on.
@Dues i did not do it so far as it could kill growth and effect ratings
but yes i can imagine making a couple of bucks more per month
I could basically lock the second half of levels until they bought the in-app.
And after finishing the last freely playable level showing them the pop up to buy now or go back to the main menu.

Just got a creepy suggested as game for the weekend by one of the biggest german news agencies "Spiegel.de". I did not contact them and that is a big surprise!!

Creepy is still growing and players ask for more levels etc.
And some wonder if they donate if they get more level.
Right now nothing is planned as I see it as a round thing that leaves em exactly with the thirst for more.
But I wonder how I can monetise it better (in-app wise) without breaking the already round experience.
I though of bonus missions as another character defeating cmon threat so zombies,nests and the fire shooters. ( some kind of machine spider unit)
This character could be on a side mission to clean out some left over zombie locations.
Or I go for a before story in the laboratory where it breaks out and your a doctor treeing to escape.
Or I sell something else not sure what to do here to be honest.
Current installs on android are 30000 and they hope for more.
With the whole game being built already, with the behaviours etc all nailed - how hard would it be to have additional content, unlocked with IAP? If you could convert 10% of those playing into paying would it justify a week or two worth of work for a new mini game?
Short update.
It was incredible hard to jump over myself to build the extra levels for creepy as my intention was to make a round game and even on success leave it as it is.
Which I break now on request of many players and to get that 1.99 $ extra from some users.
The game had its current peak with 35000 active installs as I started.
I finished 4 of 6 levels by now. And it took already 3 weeks for this couple levels..
It feels like I don't push myself.. So I lost 10000 active installs since then.
Since the game can be finished in 20 minutes thats really no surprise and its a wonder they even keep it a couple of weeks.
So the update brings for $ 1.99
+Bonus Campaign with 6 Levels
+Removes all Ads
I have around 1000 to 2000 daily new installs and deinstalls with it if only 1% buys it
10 to 20 its already good extra money.
All creatures have been defeated so the idea is that some "cleaning" robots are also taking care of the creepy units as they are also infected.
Hi @BigDave congrats for your game, I really liked.
Why this game is free? Really you make some money with Ads? I think that if you can sell 0.99, many of us would buy without thinking
@CasualEvolution if you look at a lot of his threads you will see the history and results of how the game has been doing for cost, why he made things free, etc
i go free since priced games only make sense if you have clear fixed large audience and the means of reaching them but if non one knows your game. Going free is the best for building your audience and banner ads also perform ok.
@BigDave said:
nope none of my games has 0.99$
is just the level of pricing i set for my games.
$ 1.99 is the absolute minimum
@BigDave - Yes I completely agree. Most customers aren't willing to pay anyway - but those that are will quite happily pay the $1.99. I've seen a good increase to my revenue by increasing prices without any obvious drop in sales.
@Franto
Ok! Update is ready Content wise. Even the Trailer I will add today or this weekend.
Now only the game pad support is missing @Franto
I filled the controls out exactly as you did. I only will need left,right and shoot and shield. So I have left on "a" and right on "d". Now I wonder which one should i use to shoot and which to shield based on common controller schemes?

I think $1.99 is too much for minutes longer of gameplay. Go with $.99
@YeezyHypeBeast
nope none of my games has 0.99$

$ 1.99 is the absolute minimum
in my other games orcs I sell in-apps of 8.99$ and 12.99$ successfully.
0.99$ is nothing.
Also price implies quality. So if you want to make your game appear like crap $0.99 is the best way to go.
