More than just a Game!

Its very simple that in its name "GameSalad" one would think that such a program is for game only ?
Am I wrong in thinking that this creator is more that just a game developing tool ?
Could I create an app that is designed for Event Reminders "Push Notification" and such ?
An app that is more about providing information via click hooks to new pages with more info?
I'm also curious, if im right, does GS have something that allows me to charge my customers for these push notifications, or maybe a subscription of some kind?

I'm curious because all of the other tools I have been using seem to be very weak in programming and very limited.
GameSalad from what Ive seen is pretty open and very customization.

I hope to hear from someone soon.

GameSalad is an engine that mainly supports those who create games, but there have been dozens of non-game related applications created with the tool. You can create anything, really. However, we don't have the ability to send push notifications to our users yet. That's kind of a bummer, but it's on the feature list. Hopefully we get it at some point. When we do get push notifications, I'm not sure that we'll have the ability to charge users for receiving them. I've actually never seen nor heard of that idea before.

    Thank you.

What I meant about the push notifications was when you sign up to the app.

The app is being built for events.
If you were to purchase the app "premium" account, you would receive push notifications for the events. "Event ..... Starts in 1 hour sign up now" would be in the for of a push notification sorta deal.

While you may not be able to do push notifications yet, you can use a third party API like http://www.appformative.com to do in-app messaging.

I fail to see how a creative system like GameSalad wouldn't benefit from push notifications.
Wouldn't you want your consumers/customers/players to know when their coins/life/energy and so on are full ?
My question is, Why doesn't GameSalad offer push notifications ?
