What does it do & what are its advantages & disadvantages?

What?
An interstitial ad is a full-screen ad (more or less - depends on the screensize and ad provider). Typically interactive ads are shown - often videos.

Where?
An interstitial ad is (usually) displayed between two scenes (game -> menu, game -> retry game, ...).

How?
Use the "Change Screen" behavior.

Advantage / Disadvantage?
(Depends on how and where to use them)
Pro - They do not occupy screen space such as ad banners.
Pro / Con - The users you have to look, because they have to touch (sometimes find) a button to close it.

Con - They only appear (usually) when a scene changes. No scene change -> No ads.
Con - You lose control over your app, because some ads can be terminated directly, others only after 15 or even 30 seconds.
Con - Since interstitial ads are often videos, the required data volume is higher than with simple ad banners.

GS specific!
Banner Ads and Interstitial Ads cannot be enabled at the same time for Admob.

@ThoPel I set rev mob for my Interstitial ad & Admob for my banner for android .. I tested it out & the intersitital ad isnt showing at all but the Admob is. I do have enable ad checked in my game

@http_gamesalad Perhaps you are also affected by Bug 1232. Maybe interstitial ads are concerned. I'm not using RevMob
