Change App Platform only stretched my project?
Hello Folks, I'm in the middle of working on my game and now I want to change my app platform to say iPhone 6 Portrait, and I will be fixing my actors/artworks to match the platform resolution. So I went into Project Properties -> chose iPhone 6 Portrait platform and ticked Resolution independence. Applied it to all my scenes.
The pic below shows the result, which it only added the black area. It does not Expand the Screen Area, or the 2 white box line and its center point (don't know what they call it). When i preview my game, the whole game just simply Stretched. I know I will be choosing to stretch overscan or letterbox later on before publishing.
How do I edit and expand actual screen zone? Or thats just the way it is, and the only way is to start all over again & choose a new desired platform?

You can't change once you started creating the game. Besides when you do a universal build the game will stretch out for iphone 6. You can see that in preview. Us the stretch option.

The project platform doesn't hugely matter, to be honest, unless you are targeting only one specific device, braise you can resize the camera and scene and so on.
It is better to go for larger rather than smaller, though. If you build for iPhone 6+ and it gets scaled down to smaller devices, it will look good, but if you build for iPhone 5 and forget to supply graphics with high-enough resolution, it will look blurry on iPhone 6+.
I see, so basically the Project Properties and choose to different platform doesn't actually change platform. Only way is to start over, and ofcourse choose the highest resolution platform.
Hmm, wonder whats the use of the Project Property option when you can do the universal build / choose aspect ratios when publish, but anyhow . thanks.
It changes the platform but will not affect the images you already imported. They need to be sized accordingly and now all your x and y positions will be off. You need to set the platform before you start and then you can outport to different devices during publishing. It's always best to start with ipad if you plan on targeting that device as that is the largest. When you do a universal build when publishing it will scale everything down for smaller ios devices.
