Android development?

GigabyteGigabyte Member Posts: 1

I currently have the trial and am liking the look of it so far however, when I create a new project I seem to only have the iPhone platform option? How do I select Android?

Also, for Android development do I select "Resolution Independence"? If I ever wanted to develop for both iPhone and Android, do I leave this selected or not?

Thanks!

Edit: Another question

I see there is two licenses - Basic and Pro. I'm currently on the trial but may upgrade soon.

If I create a project on my trial and bought basic, could I still open the project? Will this also be the case if I bought pro but downgraded to basic in the future? Or basic then upgraded to pro?

I'm likely to switch between the two different packages as and when I need to features so was just wondering if project files are compatible with each other.

Thanks.

To answer the question about the project. The membership level only has to do with publishing so you can open any project no matter the level of membership.

As to the resolution question. When doing a project that will be on ios you must select RI so when you import your oversized images for retina devices they get scaled down. When you go to publish you can uncheck RI as RI creates a second copy of the images scaled down for older devices. Most of these devices are deprecated and not worth the increased project size to support. Since android devices don't use a double pixel method like Apple devices you can uncheck RI when you go to publish. Be sure to recheck it when importing images should you add to the project.
