Nothing is working - Need to submit test flight to Publisher tonight.

Hello all,

In a bit of a panic, its been a year since I have had to test an app. And I have no idea how anything works now. I have watched hours of videos but they seem out dated. And I am running out of time to reach the deadline.

I have published and generated my app with game salad.

when I press sign app - it says no provision found.

So I went and created a new cert and provision profile.

And now I am just wondering around because I don't understand the cookbook instructions as I get different options.

I need to be able to submit my game to test flight so I can get one of the members of the publishers to test it.

Any idea on where I can get help would be great.

Cheers,

My "complete" set of tutorials from start to finish. Takes about 2 hours to watch them all continuously but not always needed.

@Thunder_Child Thanks very much. I stumbled upon them on youtube earlier.
One question if you have the time.

I have and created the game on my iPad etc, but I need to also send a .ipa file. Is there a tutorial on how to do this? Is it a fairly simple task?.

    Thank you

I don't have a .app file and can't find any instructions to make one, because I need that to create the .IPA file, according to many youtube videos.

The create folder method, called Payload, does not seem to work. I was rejected by diawi for being the incorrect file.

"There is no application folder found in the package".

@Tiny_Ideas the file GS exported out should be an .app file if it's an iOS app.

With the new TestFlight that is part of iTunes Connect all you need to do is zip the file and upload it to Apple. Just make sure the Provisioning Profile is set for Distribution/App Store and not Ad-Hoc.

Once you've uploaded the file to Apple it will show up under Pre-Releases and you will be able to set it up for beta testing.

    Hope that helps.

As @RondoRocket says, you don't need an IPA anymore. Just zipping the file is fine for upload.

For future reference, making an .ipa from an .app is easy. Just create a folder called Payload, put the .app in it and compress it in finder. Rename the resulting .zip to .ipa and give it a filename of your choice. Voila!
