Hey guys, i recently started to use GameSalad just for fun and to pass some time during my vacation. Now i know you can get free assets online or buy them from other people but i was wondering which programs are usefull to make your own assets with? and does any know someone who makes tutorials about making your own assets? And is there like a guide that teaches you the basics of GameSalad other than the Manual provided by gamesalad?

Thanks for helping! :)

I'm going out on a limb here - I think the templates were made with GameSalad.

    I'm sorry. I couldn't help it.

Yep, you can make GameSalad templates using GameSalad. The word "template" really just means "something useful that might be a partial or full game or something else entirely." So it's up to you to define what a template is and whether you might want to give it away or sell it.

Then what you are referring to are "assets" not "templates." Assets are the images and sounds that are imported into a GameSalad project file.

If you click on the gear symbol at the top-right of your first post, you can change the title of the thread and your original question which was a bit misleading.

To answer your actual question, you can purchase graphics, find them for free on the Internet (be sure to check the licensing/copyright details; https://search.creativecommons.org is a good place to start), or make them yourself using software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Gimp, Inkscape, etc.
