Updating Game and apk

ThemixedkidThemixedkid Member, PRO Posts: 14

I was testing my new game and noticed a few things I needed to tweak.

I uploaded the update to the Game Salad website.

Do I have to go through the whole process again for testing?: recreate an apk, sign the apk, install game onto my Android once more?
OR
Can the game be updated through the Android viewer?
OR
Is there an easy process to update my game?

If someone could explain the process, that would be much appreciated!

Yes all these steps are needed (except testing it on your android device. That is optional but recommended).

In addition to your list, you will need to change version numbers before you compile and also create a "new version" store listing in each store you publish in. You will also need to upload your APK to the store too!

    Nope. Only tested.

This is as easy as it gets!

If someone could explain the process, that would be much appreciated!

    Hope I've helped!

Thank you! It's been very helpful.
I just have one more question. I'm currently still at the testing phase. Will I still be required to change version numbers if I haven't published to a market?

No, you only need to change versions number if you have published to a store as the store will reject it. You fine in adhoc testing.
