You can try and write in your app description that "iPhone 5 or higher is required", several apps on the app store does not even start on iPhone 4 or lower (like Grim Fandango). It is not possible to limit your app to iPhone5 or higher via GS though.

There are users like @Armelline that say that you must support iPhone 4 still which may be the case, it is a bit unclear

apple claims it must run on certain devices, but if you sell enough through the app store, you can make it for whatever you want.
Or, code it specifically for a particular ios, that can work too sometimes

You could detect for iPhone4 screen size at the start of your game and display an information text to inform the player that this device is not supported and may effect gameplay?

As @ant_lad says, Apple don't apply their rules consistently. They state you must support iPhone 3 and 4/4S resolutions, but if they like you/you have sway, they'll let it slide. Don't count on it though.

Yes maybe this will be the solution, the only problem is that it's an acceptable solution for a free game, but for a paid game the user will be surely disappointed

    Thanks again to all!

    Respect your customers.
No matter whether it is a f2p app or a paid app for $999, plainly state any limitations in app store description, or any other description, and you will mostly be fine.
If you send it off for a review, state that it should be played on x device or higher and hopefully it will get added to the review
