How will portrait / landscape appear across devices?

Hello community,

I'm just curious on how will the games look like across different devices (as I haven't finished my games yet) so here are my questions:

  1. If my game set to platform iPhone Portrait, how will my games look on iPad or Tablets if holding the device portrait view? and holding it at landscape view?
  2. If my game set to platform iPhone Landscape, how will my games look on iPad or Tablets if holding the device portrait view? and holding it at landscape view?
  3. If my game set to either iPhone Portrait/Landscape, how will it look like on Macbook or Laptops? (in terms of resolution)

Thanks.

Hi ElectroFox, if you go to scene, attributes, Autorotate
You can then tick the orientations you want available.

Well, you can't really use a portrait game on landscape or vice versa. It's the same with any device. You just can't cross over views or devices without re-coing it for the different view/device.

So that means if my game is created as platform iPhone portrait my game is fixed at Portrait? Meaning those who download & play in tablets they'll have to literally hold their tablets vertically (portrait direction), even if they rotate the tablet to landscape the game won't rotate with it?

I haven't published my games yet, and I'm not sure if there is an option for it & stuff. But those who've already published and tested on both phones and tablets would surely know this.
