Why should I purchase the Pro version?

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to decide on whether I should purchase gamesalad pro or not. I have only been using the free version for about a month but I am limited to what I can do and view in the free version. I want to use the pro version but I don't want to commit to paying 300+ dollars if it is something I don't like.
I would be more incline to pay the monthly fee because I wanted to use it for three months throughout the summer, but I'm stuck to a one year contract with them. Why should I pay so much and I don't even know what I'm getting?! There should be more flexibility with the payment options.
Is there like a 3 day Pro trial version or something along those lines?

Here's a side by side comparison of the free and pro versions:

I would purchase pro just for the Android publishing. There's also IAP, A* pathfinding, access to the nightly builds and much more.

I don't know if you saw this yet, but this http://gamesalad.com/creator/pro shows you the difference between the free and pro version.
Thanks, but I did indeed look at the page before making this post. For a being a free member, I have to make sure that this is what I really want. It's a commitment and pictures are obviously not enough to force my hand to make a hasty decision.
I was looking at a template yesterday that integrated behaviors such as a "loop behavior" that I did not see in my free version.
My questions are whether certain behaviors are only accessible in the Pro version and if they are what are they?
Looking at a checklist of a side by side comparison of just terms does not exactly benefit me since a few are new to me.
As a potential customer I want to know everything before making a purchase and the link I was referred to did not exactly satisfy my concerns.
Thanks.

Gamesalad is a powerful program. The page that we listed gives you very good details about what the difference between pro and free are. It's up to you to use those resources. They are only limited by your own imagination.
In the end, I'm not here to persuade you to purchase the pro licensing.
Honestly, I couldn't care less. But, I would like you to know that since I updated to pro I've had a financial return much higher than what I paid for the membership.
I assume you´re working with the PC version?
If you use the latest stable release, 10.5, i can see you missing some of the behaviors and features. That version is really old. You should go here gamesalad.com/download/releases and download the latest Release Candidate for windows. That´s 13.4. It´s much closer to the current Mac version, and has some features and behaviors that are missing in the 10.5 version.

I'm a big fan of gamesalad, so I feel kind of bad for the advice I'm going to give you, but I wish I had someone to give this advice to me when I started.
I wouldn't buy pro right off the bad, even if you have the money to spare. Get comfortable with the software, make sure it's for you, design a few knock about games, two or three of them, and get pro when you plan to publish them.
Free and pro gamesalad interface is the same, the only real differences are post-production when you're ready to upload.
Completely agree I have had the same thoughts I'm building two games at the moment just to get a feel for the software. And once I'm ready I'll run a campaign to raise some cash for my game. Might even run ads on the website I publish them to
Not to mention, once you get Pro, you learn the super secret handshake.
Basically.... Stick with free version until you feel you have half way mastered the way this works. There is no need in purchasing pro while in the early learning phase. The pro side of this is when you are confident and ready to actually sell something solid and use the features that come with pro. But if your hear to learn the basics and step foward into it. Just use free for now.
