Ad removal/modifications after publishing?

TitanFuryTitanFury Member Posts: 55

Hello there!

Currently, I'm a free user but plan to purchase the pro membership if my app - already published to the app store - does well. My question is: once I buy the pro membership, will I be able to change the type of ads that are shown in my app without having to send the app to app review again? For example, if I am not happy with interstitial ads and instead want simple banner ads or maybe I want to change when the ads come up, I want to be able to do so without sending an app update to the app store in the interest of saving time. Would this be possible?

Hopefully my inquires are sufficiently clear
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

As I understand it, if you're a free member, ads are placed in your app automatically.
Once you're a Pro member, you should have the ability to change the ads to whatever the ad system of your choice allows, provided that ad system is supported by GameSalad.
That said, I think you will have to submit the app again because the ads (or lackthereof) in your app will be linked to you, and not to GameSalad.

you will have to republish. Banners are iAd as I assume interstitals probably chartboost.
All changes within the app need a re-pubslishing.

Thanks for the quick response guys!

Quick question, does the app review process take a shorter amount of time for app updates, or is it the same as publishing?

In my experience, it´s pretty much the same time for updates.
