Hi,

I'm looking for someone to add a function to an existing (but unreleased) app. The app uses internal tables which record the state of the session. I need the new function to copy the tables to an external MySQL database and create a unique code which any user can input to the game in order to retrieve the same state in another session.

When a user opens the app there needs to be a field which will accept a unique code and in doing so the new function will copy the external MySQL tables to the internal game salad ones to retrieve the session state.

Every session within the app needs to offer the ability to save the current session with a save button which which generates new tables and provides the user with another unique code d for later retrieval.

In your quote please take into account that payment will be made after an agreed testing period (probably 2 weeks).

(Edit) Happy to pay partial fee upfront.

An NDA will need to be signed before the work commences.

Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.

Spencer

The GameSalad side of this will be relatively simple, but it will need a non-GameSalad bridge between the game's data and the MySQL table. It's certainly possible. That said, I'd not even consider taking a job that required that kind of work with no payment made until after two weeks of testing. I'll be surprised if anyone else does either. It's customary for at least partial payment to be made up-front.

Don't really see how this would be possible. Gamesalad apps are code signed packages ready for app store submission. You would have to pull off some pretty clever modification that would probably break the Gamesalad ToS at the very least. The whole lot would need re-signing which definitely breaks the ToS.

Working for free for a totally unknown person and then hoping for payment several weeks afterwards, sounds like a deal that every skilled developer would want to jump right into.. we should even ask for his paypal and send some money his way also just cause he gave us this unique chance ;)

    lol @Summation.

I would be happy to pay a partial fee upfront for reference.

Do you guys know how long this might take and have I given enough info?

There is one other point I forgot to mention (which is probably fairly irrelevant) but first off we are looking to release this as a html app only with a view to releasing it later as an IOS app.
