[Solved] Actor spawning too big

Hi all

When one of my jewels spawns another jewel, the spawned jewel appears very huge... How do I fix this? Even on the scene I have it set to W45 and H45, but it still appears as a giant

Thanks in advance

Actors spawn at their prototype size, not their instance size. Change the size of the actor in the Library/Inspector and it will spawn at that size.

Thank you... Do you know how I can change this in the library section? I'm clicking on the actor but there doesn't seem to be any sort of edit option available

Wrong again, I used the attributes bar on the bottom left... What do you mean by library?

    He means to do this:

    1: Click on the actor.
2: In the section titled "Attributes" (It's underneath the list of all your actors.) click on "Actor".
3: Go to size and click the arrow next to it.
4: Set the size you desire and preview.

It´s this section on the scene editor. This is where you can access the prototype Actors.

I just did that... It is set to 45 45, but in the preview it spawns like the spaceships in independence day

Are you absolutely sure you edited the prototype, and not the instance of an actor?

It does say Instance at the top where I am editing it, this is in the Attributes box... So how do I edit the prototype of this? Thank you for your patience

@Nocturne31 Good to hear you got it working.

You should check @Armelline ´s illustrated guide to prototypes and instances. That explains very clearly the difference between a prototype and an instance, and how to work with them.
