Android development tutorial request

Good evening!
Could someone please make a tutorial or give at least a hint for new gamesalad users on how to choose the right resolution or method for android game development to have it working on most of android devices?
After making a couple of searches, I noticed that there is a significant amount of new users who are struggling to create their first games because of a lack of clear info.

Android is a pain in the arse to get right. I always base everything on ipad 1024x768 then use @BBEnk cam size trick for resizing. Its good practice to keep buttons away from the far corners due to the various screen sizes on Android.
Its all but impossible to get it spot on. By keeping buttons away from such corners, helps.

So if i would create my game for Ipad portrait, would i be able to stretch it to android devices as well?
This might help google collects stats on screen resolutions on devices using the google play store.
I think that gamesalad developers should think about an idea to make an option which allows the game detect devices resolution and adjust automatically.
