App size increases drastically when app is published for Adhoc!

Hi, I am a Gamesalad Pro user.
Hey all I am making a universal build game with overscan and resolution independence using the iPad as a starting point.
I made all Images 2x the size.

The size of my app is 4.5mb.
But when I publish an Adhoc it becomes a whopping 34.3mb.

How is this possible?
In the Adhoc process I did add a App Icon, Custom loading wheel. Custom loading screen, but all of those added features were not that big in size.

Why has my simple 4.5mb app turned into a 34.3mb monster?

Any help would be appreciated...
