I made something sort of resembling a pinball machine(how's that for a sales pitch?)

I love pinball games so will be keen to see how it works. I'll post here and let you know (as well as leaving a review of course).
Thanks!

When the green logo comes up, at first I thought the app had stalled as I didn't realize I had to click on the name. Then I didn't realize until later there were two games to choose from and that each name "8Ball" and "PinballU" were clickable buttons. Perhaps I was being dumb (answers on a postcard...), but you might want to make that more obvious?
The 8Ball worked pretty well. I know flippers are a real pain to get to work due to the physics but it looks like these work as expected most of the time. Because of the physics, when the ball rolls down the flipper and then you flick it, the ball has less power than if it hits it hard. You may want to add a rule that states "when the ball touches the flipper and flipper is activated, change velocity" or something perhaps? Not sure as it's really tricky but as I said, it works reasonably well.
A couple of variously pitched "ding" effects could break up the repetition quite nicely.
The PinballU seemed to be having problems. I really like the idea of building your own layout so that's cool. For some reason the scoring stayed at zero and the flippers had no power to shoot the balls. The dragging and dropping was a little tricky as I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do (and I'm not a card player). When my finger covered up the object I was trying to drag, I often wouldn't notice the object got dropped somehow further back. Perhaps turn it larger and brighter whilst dragging for visual feedback? Finally the ball kept getting stuck on the triangle to the right of the flipper. I'm guessing it's getting caught on the opposite end of the flipper, past the middle pivot point?
With a little extra feedback and play testing you could have a unique pinball game here. I hope that all makes sense. Just my observations so take 'em with a pinch of salt if you like, no worries
If you have any questions feel free to ask as I'll be happy to assist. Also, let me know if you think I'm nuts and I'll be quiet, lol!
Thanks and good luck with it!
Mike
Don't be too annoyed by this one guy, on the internet you can expect to meet a few JERKS ;-)
Do you still want me to submit a review or wait for some fixes so the review can be higher?
Either way is fine just let me know.
Yes adding a "tilt" shake function might be a good solution.
By the way, the load time was fine in my iPad. The GS logo was barely up for 3 seconds and the other load screens were no more than three more seconds total, so yeah, the guy was a jerk. Sorry about that but I guess they are out there.
Anyway just let me know what you would like, review wise
Thanks again and all the best,
Mike
1. I'm 40
2. It's tested on Gamesalad's simulator.
3. What is a rip off? I spent two weeks on it. My time isn't worth 99 cents?
4. What an a**hole.
Really dislike some of the schmucks around here.
Censored by me:
"Everyone can be anything on the internet, you are proof. Not only will I get a refund and not buy anything from you, I will do my best to make sure nobody does because you are a thief and a moron. A f**king competent "real" developer knows you must test on the device, you stupid pr**k!
Now, suck my a** you inbred sh**."
So that's what gamesalad developers are up against. Does Gendai take a stand or sit quietly collecting their 99 dollars?
It sounds like the troll that used to frequent these parts before he got banned. Can't remember the name because frankly I don't care!
Evidently he has a lot of spare time on his hands, and unable (as far as I know) to post here, he's resorting to buying our games and sending abusive emails.
At least we're getting some money off him. Though I feel bad if it's coming out of his welfare cheque...
I think Design 219 got one too: http://gamesalad.com/forums/topic.php?id=8180
This guy used to call people 'kid' here too when he was spouting his bollocks - it's a way of trying to gain authority over you - don't worry about it - it's a cheap trick.
I honestly believe this guy is a failed developer himself, threatened by what he sees as 'normal' people making games.
So much hate and anger. He's obviously not well. I pity him, really.
Perhaps if he used his energy to make a successful game, he might feel better about himself...
Don't let it get you down, fella.

Out of interest, was it the same guy that emailed Design219?

Edit - ah, it was. Poor guy... I think I probably overestimated him saying he was a developer. He's not smart enough...
I hope he gets help soon.
