When I preview my app on the laptop my art work looks the same color BUT when I test it out on my phone the artwork looks different colors .. Like some actors are lighter than some and others are darker.. I even tried deleting all the artwork and redoing them.. I did that and I still get the same problem

That because different screens display colors in different ways. @Socks gave a great explanation in this thread:

@dues just looked at it! So theres no way of fixing this problem?
What laptop do you have - and what phone are you testing this on ?
@Socks Mac book 2009 I believe.. & I'm using a ipod touch 4 gen
The iPod Touch 4th Gen uses what is basically an iPhone 4 screen, which has quite a limited gamut (certainly compared to a Macbook), the gamma is going to be off, not sure what it is but it's definitely going to be higher than normal, the contrast will be a bit hit and miss ("some actors are lighter than some and others are darker") . . . and so on, so although it's a good screen, it's not going to be very accurate.
@socks so my app actors colors are going to look off ?
The qualities of a Macbook screen and an iPod screen are markedly different, the same is true, to some extent, of all screens on all devices.
@socks but this is very odd .. I made these actors on Inkscape & I made sure each ball I made was 20% grey .. & it checked out perfectly on my laptop & also on the test flight build BUT when I did the adhoc build because someone recommend to ever since test flights got bought over by Apple it decided to change colors .. never had this problem till now.. it's just one ball that isn't matching..
When I put it on Inkscape all the balls look the same color but when I test it on my ipod all the balls look the same expect one..
make sure your saving your art as 24 bit png and not 8 bit png
also, in your editing program, make sure your color space is set to rgb and not cmyk. Cmyk is primarily for print and rgb is for backlit displays...common mistake.
@http_gamesalad Uncheck Resolution Independence if you have it checked and try that out.
Colour and resolution are unrelated.
You probably need to do some tests to track down the issue.
@ajaymz unchecked RI & it worker perfectly! The graphics even look much better with it unchecked ! I thought RI was supposed to make your graphics better & crop it for smaller devices
Did the colours on your iPod look the same as on your MacBook after unchecking RI !? The two aren't related (colour and resolution) so it should have no effect at all !?
RI doesn't make your graphics better, nor does it crop your project, it just makes a set of lower resolution image assets for non-Retina devices.
@http_gamesalad I accidentally left it checked before and my graphics looked horrible and blurry. Something with the new way of resizing I guess. Or certain shadow effects. Not really sure but it worked for me that time.
