Did anyone bother to note that the Apple TV got it's price lowered but no further mention was made about it?

I'm somewhat surprised, curious, and a bit disappointed at that lack of news.. Rumor continues that Apple is trying to negotiate a deal with TV Content Providers as to possibly be then next Netflix or some other all-in-one go to for the TV.. But they seem to be missing the boat on not allowing game-apps to be used on the device akin to the Fire TV..

As for the watch, I'm not sold.. The battery issue is really a problem and I find the UI and interface to be a bit clunky.. Not to mention the overall ergonomics of the big square lunk of metal attached to my wrist including the sensor-probes allowing the gizmo to track me.. Ironic as to how they've managed to design the new MacBook to by uber-thin and lightweight yet the watch looks like a diving weight you'd attached to your waist to alleviate buoyancy..

It's funny until a few days ago I thought the Apple TV was the size of a mini Mac but $69 dollars not a bad price I guess but I don't know much about them.

Your right the watch is thick and the macBook very thin makes no sense unless you think about Apples business model Fat now Skinny later.

Thanks for the link @BBEnk! I'd completely forgotten about this until I check the forums and saw your post! Was 2 minutes after it had started :D

I'd not get your hopes up for gaming on the Watch. GS has been pretty clear that they have no intentions, and that the watch is not really designed or intended for gaming. The discussion you linked is interesting though @scottharrrules43 - perhaps they'll extend the watch in useful ways in the future. If so, I'm sure GS will reconsider it.

Update on the Portless-Macbook wonder.. Apparently Apple is going to shank new customers $79 for a new USB-C dongle to allow you to use more than one device at the same time (charger, USB, and/or HDMI)

    https://www.yahoo.com/tech/apple-to-sell-79-dongle-to-add-ports-to-new-113198533904.html

I'm sorry, but I really hate the lack of ports on the new Mac devices.. It screams 'disposable' hardware..

The portless MacBooks are intended for people who don't need the ports. The idea is that you've bought an ultra-portable computer and want to use it with as few accessories as possible. If you want the extra ports, there are options available.

I'd personally never buy an ultra-portable, I value the speed and ports of my MacBook Pro too much!

I have a feeling we'll see a lot more usb -C devices soon. It honestly makes a lot of sense to allow multiple devices and power to transmit over the same interface. 3 years from now it will likely be the standard and direct input will be an option for most devices, but someone has to release the products to get people to use it in the first place: enter the macbook. =)

Okay, that makes sense :). I saw a random link with no comment and thought "spam" or "virus/trojan horse".
Adding a comment to a link usually helps readers know what they are looking at lol. :)

I have a 15' retina macbook pro as my primary machine as I don't have an office in my house. My iMac is sitting in the closet just serving as a home media server and a backup repository for all my stuff.

however, once I finish our basement and put in a proper office, the iMac will be back to being a main machine, and something like the new macbook would be a perfect addition. I always see these types of laptops as secondary machines. You have your powerhouse at home and take something ultralight to work while on the road.

    2lbs is just awesome.
