Android Publishing is a mystery beyond all that I know to be true!!!!

Ok, this may seem stupid to most people here, but I have always submitted to Apple and now I want to branch off to Android.
Where to submit is a complete mystery to me. there seems to be so many App Stores out there for Android, like, Google Play, Amazon, Samsung App Store and so on.
Any advice?
Do I have to purchase license agreements to all? Or are they all connected somehow?
Or am I making this much harder than it really is?

From personal experience, I can tell you that the Google Play store is a 25$ one time fee to publish there. From the Gamesalad portfolio, when you compile the android apk's, it gives you a signed and unsigned one. You can upload the signed one to Google Play.

The unsigned one can be uploaded to the amazon app store for free. Just make a developer account there.

As far as the other various stores, no clue. Not sure they get too much traffic anyways.
