Jump Jump Boom - iOS (Update) + Android (New!)
So I've made massive improvements to my game Jump Jump Boom. It's now updated on the iOS App Store (https://t.co/f1f6g0w78w) and Google Play for Androids (https://t.co/83mfxM9iCP)
I feel like I did a lot of "clever" things developing this game. I've never been very involved in the GameSalad community. So I don't know if anyone would like me to explain them. You can see in the video...
- Ground pieces of different sizes have rounded corners (and collide as such) and a consisted border
- The player can hold onto things as they fly through the air.
- The finish-pipes/slingshots suck the player in.
- Parallax backgrounds include zooming in and out (I would actually like advice on this. It's not always as smooth as I'd like)
- Numbers are spawned with a rotation value that tells them what number they're supposed to be (before instantly setting their rotation to zero)
- the floating blocks (and the tap bombs) dynamically choose their images immediately, based on their dimensions
- Drop shadows
- Other stufffffff.
So check the game out and let me know what you think!
There are a couple of glitches on the iOS version that I feel like are beyond my control. Some of the ground pieces look a little strange (I feel like I can only explain the exact nature of this glitch if I go in depth into how I made them).
Also, if you repeatedly tap the X to close interstitial ads (at least in the iOS) it will crash the app.
