Getting My App Onto An iDevice - Halp?

Hey Guys,

Keeping this as simple as possible, can you please tell me how to get the files made for use with AdHoc?

ie;
- Create X certificate
- Create X thingy majiggy
- Put created files in X place

etc.

I can't work it out and the tutorial for it in GS is blank.

I go publish, and get told I need a provisioning profile or whatever it was - halp? ^-^;

    Ah, see where your going wrong: you should create the X thingy as majiggery. Majiggy has been phased out. ;-)

    Can't help you personally, as I haven't got that far yet, and even when I do, i'm bound to be posting a question about creating X thingy majiggeries myself...

    But the step by step guide in the Support pages seems all working here:

    Don't know if that's the one your having trouble viewing; if not, hopefully that'll help.

    She can't find her UDID - she's clicking the serial number - it's a 1st gen touch with old firmware, currently being updated.

    Any advice?

    /removes saddle for a minute

    UDID is simple. It should just be clicking the serial number in iTunes while the device is attached.

    It'll change to show the UDID.

    Then, with the cursor over the UDID, just do a copy paste (cmd+c, cmd+v) into an email to you!

    I have a first gen touch - this should work, unless they've changed things.

    YOU'RE WRONG.

    Nah, not exactly. She just needed a newer firmware than what she had on it - she'd never updated it I don't think, lol.

    Little update: Got everything ready, then it turns out my sister is on f'ing 1.5.1 - she had never updated her 1st gen itouch until TODAY. Screw it. Will force a buddy of mine to spend tomorrow using his iPhone for me, lol.

    As to Gary, make sure you shoo him off while you bath. He might drown.

    Also, he did get the beers, but I drank them. (I am a drunk, I'm afraid.)

    Oh and Gyro, it's a Cuva Libre - extra lime, extra rum.

    QS - After you bath please shake off in the bathroom this time. What with the water soaking my carpet and the wet, malting wool flying off in all directions we really need to watch that.

    Oh - how cute that mental image is. (I F'ing LOVE miniatures. Seriously. LOVE them. Especially detailed/functional miniatures.... OMG they're awesome. XD)

    I have a shirt I love called "Cuggy" - I always want to give him a straw when he has his bath times in the washing machine. To be clear, I don't wear him, I just keep him with me on the couch, in bed, etc. .... I'm not crazy. XD I just like something to hold and snuggle when I sleep. Also, the label is soft on my nose ^-^;

    As to the beer - I'll give you some good Australian beer - AFTER you've unmatted your damn fur.

    Maybe then I can arrange a playdate for you and mr funkleberry - but only if you don't filth yourself up again.
