Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone here is willing to help me with my icon. I've had a lot of trouble with my icons even though it is probably extremely easy for you guys. Even for my last game, farm showdown, my icon is totally messed up. It is way smaller than all of thenother apps. Take a look at this photo and see for yourself:



yeah, so now you know what I mean. So I did a little test and made a 57x57 px icon in illustrator CS5, and uploaded it to my phone and here were my results:



You can see it is slightly smaller than the other iPhone app, which is a normal size app. It also has this black outline around it and I don't know why that is:



I already know what my app is gonna look like:



If someone who has experience with app making and has made a normal sized app before(lol) could you help me make my icon. It's only 2 images, a background and my bear actor so it probably wouldent be hard for you experts. Sorry for asking this, I now feel like a total noob, but I really want this app to be good. The iphone OS curves the corners for you. So you do not need to worry about that. Just make a 57x57 square with sharp corners and iTunes connect will do the rest.

@scitunes that's what I did but when I uploaded the game to my phone it still came out smaller and I don't know why

Make sure you are saving it as 72dpi. Which is the default for .png imges.

However, you are able to save pngs at a higher dpi, which you don't want.

I suspect that is what is going on.

My icon image has a dpi of 72.01, is that ok? Or does it have to be exactly 72dpi

No, that should be fine. And just to confirm, the icon (for the iPhone) is 57x57 ?

And the icon for the iPad is 72x72 ?

Dude they're all the same size.... They all look fine.... I just downloaded the pictures and compared them and their not small.. Just downloaded Farm Showdown! And it looks fine also... Your quest for quality and polish has left you a bit tired my friend, take a break and come back and look at your images...

Also the 2nd picture looks small because there's a black border, change the wallpaper on your home screen...

Hey Just curious... Do you have to have an iPad icon/screenshot if your game isn't for the iPad? i have the 512 version and the 57 version... Just thought I'd ask while this thing is still...Still... still... waiting for review.

@jweaver911, If you are not uploading to the ipad, no, you just need your 320x480 screenshots, a 512px x 512px and a 57px x57px icon
