How can I randomly spawn my actors so they can fly across the screen?

Hi, I am making an app in which actors fly across the screen, however I cannot seem to do this? I would like so the actors are spawned randomly outside the screen and then fly across the screen in different locations, it doesn't have to be at different speeds but if you know how to do this that would be great!
