GameSalad App Sales

Hi all, This is thread NUMBER 2 on this subject. I was hoping that the other thread would get, stickied, not closed. But here is the thread again. Put all of your sales, Weekly, Daily, and Monthly if you want to. Other users find them inspiring, and it is good to know what everyone is averaging. Please Please don't ruin this thread also!
Thanks

Several hundred a day, off of a free non gamesalad app via ads. Lucky enough to be in the top categories for over a year now. Right place, right time, no marketing.

40 sales for me since launch on the 12th. Hardly inspiring, especially since I was featured in New and Noteworthy AND What's Hot. LOL.

If anyone hasn't found it yet there's a site called http://www.appannie.com/ that's nice for finding out your app's historical high points.

Fetaboy, which app do you have Free, and that one alone is grossing hundreds a day off ads? Very nice!

Thanks. The free one is the yo mama one. It's currently #35 in entertainment, but fluctuates between ranking in the 20's - 40's for the past year. Reaching 2,000,000 total downloads within a few more days.

My website is still a work in progress. I had just bought a template for workpress and haven't had time to work through all the pages yet.

Like I said though, right place, right time. It was pretty much the 1st or 2nd yo mama joke app to hit the store last year. Obviously it's way harder to get visibility now.

Since the release of my Fade Out Lite, I've had 448 downloads, and since Fade Out and Fade Out: Up (paid apps) a total of 11 between them.

I am about to hit 20K in sales for my first 2 Gamesalad games, Danger Cats! and Stunt Squirrels!...

I am hoping to hit it big with my next game! Fingers crossed!

Sincere congrats to you guys! For some reason I thought you'd both made about 10k - Over 20k is incredibly impressive considering the small start up costs.

You've worked bloody hard and I'm glad you're both successful! I know you both love making games!

    Nice one!

    QS :D

Sparkyidr is probably doing the best over the past few weeks with his Doodle Ski game.

Would be interesting to see updated sales figures from him! :)

I've made close to 10K in revenue so far, not as much as Tshirt and Firemaple, but working on some big projects now that I hope do well!

Wow, I'm hoping to get to the level of FMG and TSB in the future. For now I've had some decent success between Traffic Ninja and Doodle Cannon, and I'm at 3K (altough some of that $ is stuck in outer region limbo if you know what I mean).

iSUB 46 sales after 1.5 days on the appstore.

4 of which in japan.... which placed it in the top 100 arcade section on the Japanese appstore at number 87!

I thought that was rather amusing when i saw it.

@FMG... can I be cheeky and ask what your average daily sales would be? Just be good to get an idea of the higher end of the spectrum ;)

A game i recently helped out with graphics for made it into the top10 games, sat there for around 2 weeks, then fell off to hover in the 100-150 range.

During the 2 weeks it was up there, it was doing 4,000 units per day, priced between 99c and $1.99

Needless to say, the developer earned enough from those 2 weeks to quit his day job and become a full time game developer. The game still earns him a decent daily amount and spawned a profitable iPad version too.

Sadly...for me, I was paid a set fee upfront for my contribution to the game.

But that shows what a top 10 game is capable of making, even if the game doesnt stay there for very long....

Combined, they currently make between $50 and $75 a day. At their height, I was making $525 a day. Once they fall out of the top 100 and off of the iPhone App store, sales drop off considerably.
  • AfterBurnettAfterBurnett Member Posts: 3,474
Thanks for that info! $50-75 bucks a day is still a nice amount of passive income!
