Catflap! - My first game about to be released! (If Apple don't reject it!)
Fellow GS'ers! - May I present to you....
C A T F L A P !
I've been getting to grips with GS, moved from PC to Mac, spent countless all-nighters over the last 8 months, getting to grips with GS, Mac OSX, signing, testing, tweaking, feature creeping, to FINALLY reach the point where at 2:30am this morning I managed to upload my signed, tested, hopefully approved release of my paid version!
Now that I'm running Yosemite (was on 10.7.x ML before), I can finally Appload the thing, which also means it's recognised by Game Centre, etc, so Game Centre recorded/uploaded achievements will be next on my list (I took great pains, and 2 extra months or so, to implement local ones first, separate High Score tables, etc) and retrospectively, uploadable achievements earned locally (from the 85 or so available!) will be in place once I set up the appropriate GC equivalents online!
(PS - I stress, there are NO IAP's in this game - and the ONLY IAP I will have is in the trial/lite version of the game, which will simply be in the form of a one-off purchase, to unlock the full game, for the minimum I could set (79p, currently) - I wanted to offer it at say, 29p or 35p, but neither Apple nor Google allow that, as most of you guys may already have found out... sigh...
(I MAY push out an ads-based version, but have heard that they really, really don't pay much these days, and then only pay if the player clicks the ad, follows it, AND then installs the advertised product/app... doesn't sound promising in the middle of a fast-paced session on Catflap! )
PPS - It may LOOK like a certain Flappy game, but I can honestly assure you that there's a different play mechanic, a LOT of risk/reward play, and generally a LOT more to it, and I can't get my wife or the kids off it, so hopefully I've done something right with all of that tweaking and feature creeping! - I'll try to upload a video of it too!
I have a couple of projects ongoing now, including my (Secret Squirrel!) new twist puzzle game, but this has been a labour of love since I first started playing with it as an intro to GameSalad! - The local achievements have proven REALLY addictive to my test players - and many were quite complex for me to work out 'on the fly' without interupting the flow of the game!
My fingers are tightly crossed for Apple hopefully approving this sooooooon! - Next stop! - finally publishing to Google Play (hopefully tonight!)...
Comments
Oh yeah, forgot to add - looks awesome on a retina iPad!
...and unfortunately, since I started 8 months ago, with my catchy li'l title, there have been numerous "Flap" and "Cat" combination titled games... (I actually think that there's one called 'FLAPCAT' now... ...argh!) - It honestly was pretty unique when I named it, but hey ho, time waits for no man, etc, etc....
Looks good. Can see a lot of love has gone into it. Good luck!
Thanks! - really appreciate the kind comments mate - just putting a trial version together, with NO limits other than it will end your current run straight after say, 15 or 20 tricks if you manage to last that long (You have to be good, and have played a fair bit, to last through 20 tricks AND get a decent score (that ol' Risk 'n' Reward thing), on ALL modes (Tuff Trip, Rush Mode, etc) anyway, so I figure this is a (possibly TOO) generous trial, and won't even seem like a trial in terms of limitations, until they get good enough!)...
It will also still save scores and achievements, so hopefully this will get people trying the game without any risk to their pocket!
Oh, and I couldn't grab the screenshots while playing, with the Combo/achievement messages - but each time you get a combo or achievement, it tells you the name of the combo you got below the score itself, and pops the score for it up, in the top-right corner of the screen - it's all good for gauging what's best to go for, in terms of points, for your particular playing style!
Gotta call it a day for now though! - tired... Zzzz.... Just got to test the IAP tomorrow after work!
Thanks again for being the first to comment mate, much appreciated!

Well, FINALLY! - Got my CATFLAP game published on Android / Google Play! - I'm excited!... (and yes, I know it's probably going to be a while before anyone even buys it, but hey! - the ball's rolling!)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.japsterscavern.catflapfull
PS - It's also been sent for review on the Apple App Store, but they've not reviewed/made it live just yet - hopefully in a few days!...
I've only got the full version live at the moment, but at 50p (the mininum I could charge, I'm hoping for volume!), it shouldn't break the (piggy) bank!
I'm also trying to release a 'Trial' version with a per-run trick count cut-off, that can be unlocked to the full/unrestricted version, with a one-off IAP (this'll probably be a few days away though, as I have to add in-app purchase logic to the game and create a dedicated trial version/mode, in order to push that one out of the door!)
I'd like to take the opportunity to also thank everyone who's helped me to get to this stage of actually publishing my first game! - both in knowledge of GS, and the otherwise head-poundingly complex Apple provisioning and signing processes and Google signing!
So thanks to you all, and a special thanks to Socks, Armelline and Thunder Child!

Well, that took bloody ages, but Apple are finally in the process of actually 'reviewing' my Catflap game! - fingers crossed it gets accepted I guess...
I have to say that the (almost, bar one kind soul!) complete lack of responses, for something I've literally slaved over using ALL of my free time, learning GameSalad (and it's err... quirks and crashes) and doing lots of all-nighters over for the last 8 months are anything to go by (and I've commented, bought and tried other user's recent releases where I can), is honestly making me think that people just can't be a*sed to comment back!...
I'd have honestly welcomed ANY constructive feedback, but hey...
Mind you, I guess it could be worse, NO comments might be better than some comments. in the case of some other posts, if the general consensus is that it IS complete crap!
C'est la vie! - so much for getting some feedback from fellow GS'ers... Hopefully the paying public will feed THEIR opinions back to me after playing it!
PS - if ANYONE is interested in trying the free version out once available, I'm almost ready to release an (ever-so-slightly) limited, ie. unlockable 20-trick trip version for free, once I iron out a couple of bugs...

We can all respect the time put into it since many of us do the same thing. But you can't expect people to get too exited about a game that seems like the same ol clone version 9000 flappy bird. Im sure you added some features and whatnot and thats great that you put your spin on it, but you gotta realize we see these types of gameplay pop up constantly for the last year or so.
Im am not trying to put you down, just throwing in my opinion since you have been asking not only on this thread but others as well.
Best of luck to you.

When its in the app store post a link to it and we will download and play it and leave comments.
Congrats on making this far........ a lot never make it that far!!!!
Definitely! - I'll try to source promo codes as I've seen others offer - will look into that!
I do appreciate the feedback and the offer to try it, and yep, hopefully you'll see it's not just Flappy 'insert name here' - wasn't even going to put the name 'Catflap in, in case it got mistaken for Flappy blah blah, and originally I did actually have fence panels top and bottom and a gap, but it didn't look right, so I took the easy option of pipes, which yep, makes it look more like FB, not less...
Cheers again...
Cheers, I appreciate the advice mate - to be fair, I only posted once outside of this, when I actually took the time to feed back on (and buy!) @barleyesq's excellent little '50 before home' game. In itself, a GREAT game, but let's be fair... ...also essentially a (big) 'spin/twist' on err... PONG. again, changing some of the rules (gravity, random bouncing, control both players, etc) made it a GREAT new spin on a classic...
So, I know what you mean about seeing it all before, but I have to say a LOT of games I've seen (in fact most), can be seen as/are a clone of 'something' to a certain extent - even my 'super-secret' puzzle game I'm working on uses 'tetraminos', so people will cite Tetris as the inspiration - the actual game blocks themselves are in there because 4 blocks can only be arranged in those limited combinations, and that's an important basis for my game...
One example on the subject - that latest game I saw posted is pretty much the same story, an exact (albeit different graphical style) version of say, one of the many, many versions of this:-
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gaakapps.fruitshoot
...but lots of people still commented on it!
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is please don't think it's not worth looking at because it looks (and so even seemingly looks like it plays) the same - it doesn't, and it's more of a similar 'stage' than gameplay, so hopefully you'll see that it's not necessarily a small twist, but a BIG difference to the exact (and often inferior) copies of that done-to-death game...
..and hopefully it doesn't sound anything but, but I DO sincerely welcome your advice and input mate, in addition to your kind wishes, and it helps me get a feel for the general opinion on here - lets me respond to it, and that in itself is very much appreciated...
Cheers!
Looks fun! I know the feeling of not getting very much to no feedback at all. Sucks... But you have to time your posts I believe, depends on when people are on the forums etc. But yeah, even when timing the posts, the response can sometimes (or often) be a bit poor. Hang in there mate! Have you gotten the game reviewed yet?
/Seb
Thanks @sebmat86, really appreciate the advice mate - I just took a look at your LIGHTS post actually, and I'm heading over there to practise what I preach!
PS - All reviewed and live as of this morning mate!

So... guys, here are some Promo codes! - please let myself and others know by posting the code taken if/as you use/take them, so I can be aware which ones are still available if need be, or (if I'm lucky!) WHEN they're all taken, in which case, I'll add some more!
Please give it a fair try to get used to the control method/clearances and position needed to get max scores, etc, (maybe even try Kid's mode out very first thing, as it's not really kids, more like introductory), and once you've done that, maybe try the infamous 'Rush Trip'! - if you like it, and you're feeling REALLY kind, please take a mo to rate it for me too?

PS - I already know that I need some kind of a push on rating the app (as I know I'm missing a golden opportunity, but wanted to get it approved before the 64-bit insistence - I'm happy using 12.10 atm), but I'm going to be very careful with that, and even give 'em a chance to have to click it instead, and/or respond (truthfully or not) 'already rated'.

Save your codes, just bought the game! Tried it and I must say that it was fun! I didnt have the time to play more than 20 minutes, but Ill play more when Ive got the time!
Will look out for bugs and such, and report if I find any!
Take care!
Brilliant mate! - massive thanks for the support and the kind words... I'll return the favour when Lights hits the Stores!

My LAST post, honestly! - I managed to hook up an iPad, and (ironically) created a gameplay video for the Google Play store!
PS - I realised from Apple that promotion codes won't let peopl rate anyway, ah well.. Still useful if you fancy grabbing the game to take a look...
Here's the link, so you can all at least see it in action if you want...
Unlike the video for some reason (even in YT's HD/60 mode), the game is SILKY smooth normally - hopefully @sebmat86 and @DigiChain can attest to that!
I took LXA33REE3JW3, I will leave some feedback and a review. cheers!
Yeah, same for the trailer for my game LIGHTS. Game runs smoothly but the trailer is laggy and has worthless quality. But Catflap runs real smooth on my iPhone 5S! So no worries!
Also, a side from it being a fun game, I couldn't find any bugs! Great work!
Cheers,
/Seb
Thanks guys! - unfortunately, it seems Apple's promo codes can't be used to leave ratings, but thanks for trying out the game, and taking the time out to respond and advise - greatly appreciated, and happy to supply more codes to you if you want anyone else (eg - friends, family, kids!) to be able to have it for free!
So, keep 'em coming!
PS - Theses promo codes expire in 4 weeks from when I requested them (Apple's limitation, not mine! ), so if they're taken by then, then great! - if not, I may offer them around elsewhere too, on the last day or two, to at least get some more installs before they become void/unusable...
Again, thanks to all who've grabbed it/bought it and bug-checked/advised/commented, thank you!!!
Just a note! - I've dished out these:-
LWPKXJT6TNWK
4NJP9AMKR9FM
...elsewhere now, before they expire! - so just be aware these 2 are now used up!
Cheers...
