Not quite. You've got a black outline on the banana, but a brown one on the monkey. The banana has shading, but the clouds and monkey do not. Also, every single one of the clouds are the same, which is distracting. A few quick things could make a big difference.
I don't think the font goes with your style game as well. I would do something more cartoony with the font and a solid color as well (not that weird orange flame). The banana needs to just be yellow with a little bit darker yellow outline (I wouldn't do black).
If you need new font- go to the website dafont.com. They have a TON of FREE fonts for you to use.
Also- what program are you using for your artwork?
I agree with goliath. The text should be flat 2D so that it matches the flat style of the background art. The key is making sure all of your art work and level design has continuity. The color and style of the text doesn't sync cohesivly with the artwork. As a result the text is somewhat jarring.
Banana is to pixilated as well and I feel the clouds need to have an outline as well. Also, NO on that font. Throw it in the trash!!! It does not go with your game at all. Be more creative and have all your art flow together!

Great start but imjustmike is dead on.
Spend the time and get it perfect. You will be so much more proud of your hard work.
I spend twice as much time learning and using my illustrator software (idraw) than GS.
Looks good. Keep going!
@imjustmike I changed the banana a bit and made it more solid colored.
any other suggestions

Also, I would have custom font for the score and high score.
Another website you could check out besides dafont is FontSpace. Good luck!
